Maybe we need a law that your net worth can't be above such-and-such an amount before you run for Congress. Fat chance that would pass, though! Unfortunately, the amount of money you need to run for even a low, local office is pretty daunting, and either you have to kiss a lot of a--es to raise it or join one of the two Big Parties - neither of which gives a [bleep] about this country.
