Speculation grew late Sunday that police would move within hours to raid the Occupy Oakland camp. Police action appeared imminent after Mayor Jean Quan announced that Oakland would open its winter shelter Monday, a day earlier than scheduled.

The people occupying Oakland are certainly brave. I'm hoping for the best, but it doesn't look good. Thanks William.

As of 11:37 pm PST there is no news of evictions beginning to take place, nor has BART issued any travel advisories. I am going to bed. We'll see what the morning brings...

News reported hundreds of arrests, showed a line of terrorist fighting police in full riot gear, with batons at the ready. Only one occupier remains, in a tree house.. They are figuring out a way to get to that person, to arrest him or her as well.

Nonviolent noncooperation is the the heart of this movement. No matter what the goons do, resistance must be firm, but gentle and kind. Also, we need more citizen journalists. If the corporate media will not cover what's happening in the streets, then we need to go viral with wave after wave of youtube and other video postings.
