KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, South Africa (Reuters) - Five days after the rhino was gunned down, its carcass had been picked apart by scavengers while the poachers who killed the threatened animal had probably taken its valuable horn .......

yes Samir - the LOVE of money (not money itself) IS the root of ALL (not some)

this will persist as long as the Rhino's horn is worth more than a poacher's head, me thinks...

read and noted on 4-13-13 i say what's good for the goose is good for the gander these poor animals are running for their lifes eveyday because of these ruthless poachers so i think that we should open a hunting season on all poachers and see if they like be hunted down for there body parts you have security around, but these idiots are still killing this animal so either they are being paid off to look the other way or there's a need for more security this keeps up and all of the endangered animals will be gone forever and then no one will be able to enjoy them from a distance so maybe a bounty over the poachers heads will be enough to put a end to this senseless killings.

Why cant they kill the poachers and how do they get on the property to find these animals when they are supposed to be protected. Maybe gates, guns and watching isnt enough to protect them but something has to be done before we lose them all. Signed, alas and shared sadly.

Le gouvernement doit agir avec plus de sévérité. Ses messages doivent être clairs et les sanctions doivent être exemplaires. Il faut que ces massacres cessent.

I read somewhere that the word is being spread in Mozambique among the very poor villagers that if they go across the border to the Kruger Park there fortune is waiting for them, they can kill a rhino and make a fortune with the horn. It seems the Elephants, they are worth more dead than alive, they will only survive if that changes. Much of the worlds population dont realize just how serious the situation is.
