TomCat's blog from Politics Plus Yesterday there was no blog as TC had to dismantle his computer so that a heating repairperson could look into his leaking radiator. Of course it was a fiasco but in true TC form, he reassembled his station so he's up.

Puzzles — 3:41 — I hear you Jerry! Icicles on my butt kept me from moving very fast!

3:43 — I stopped long enough to swing on the vines, but I wasn't about to wait for the guys who look like they tried to play Tarzan too long!

NY Times — Maybe that is why Harry Reid looked like he was having trouble with the stairs at the inauguration — he'd just been castrated by his own hand! I signed a couple of petitions yesterday or tueday telling Harry to grow a couple of brass ones and not cave on the filibuster. We really must talk to Mrs Reid because it appears he isn't getting enough. He is so willing to get screwed by the Republican/Teabaggers. . . . again!

MSNBC — If ever there was a case to be made for the Republican/Teabaggers being called petulant, obstructive little children, this is it. When even the Chamber of Commerce is saying to the GOP that their actions are bad for the country, the GOP is still charging ahead. They are nothing but ideologues with no sense of national needs or urgency.

YouTube — Of the approximately 8 minutes of tape, 4 were used by Paul to do some political grandstanding. He was repetetive and then came the conspiracy theory about arms to Turkey. Other than they supposedly came from Libya, what did they have to do with Benghazi? Paul looked like a dufus and Mrs Clinton stood her ground. In some ways it was even worse with another Republican/Teabagger senator that constantly interrupted. Also Paul mentioned this as being the worst tragedy since 9/11. Has he conveniently forgotten the illegal war in Iraq started by Baby Bush and Cheney that cost over 4,000 lives? I must be rusty on my math — which number is greater — 4 or 4,000? And if I recall correctly, isn't that a major component of the deficit — a war paid for on the national credit card? Oh my, oh my, these Republican/Teabaggers are opening up cans of worms that they can't deal with legitimately.

Cartoon — McTurtle is at it again with the same old chestnut that administration is after their guns. What a pile of bull pucky!

Thanks JLA for sending around the links. Very much appreciate it!

Thanks Lynn for the post and link to the TC Blog and to you J.L. for sending the message.
NY Times: UPDATE - filibuster deal reached, not as much of a reform as I was hoping for but something is better than nothing I suppose. Here is a link to the good and bad parts of the deal:

MSNBC: Great segment from Rachel. Yep more of the same just a different day.

YouTube: Mr Paul's Libertarian "crap" wouldn't make good fertilizer.

Great cartoon, McTrutle needs to get his head and neck out of....out of...out of the air and pull it back into his shell.

Read and noted.

While I agree I'd hoped for more reform in fillibuster-land, the changes that render the secret holds by one person I'll celebrate given how many such holds eventually were linked to Rand Paul.

Noted. Lots of screaming going on over that filibuster catastrophe....and I wanted to believe that former boxer, Harry Reid, still had a couple of good punches left in him. Guess not.
