Given that humanity hasn't progressed that much, I can only say 'piss on earth', lol.

CBC - Politicians do backtrack on campaign promises, which is why IMO it is important to get to know them BEFORE they are nominated. The second best thing is to research what they did before they were nominated, which is why it is so dosconcerting that the Drumpf has never held elective office. But there are sertainly efforts going on, and have been before he threw his wig into the ring, to legislate bigotry, and it's not wise to count on his backtracking from promises along those lines. If one is willing to look violent in order to attract vioent supporters, one must be prepared to follow through or be torn limb from limb.

Montreal Gazette - Well, you already knew that you have a keeper there. He does continue to demonstrate it. And, yes, he gets it. I'm envious of course, but happy for you.

FP - I think we've all been saying this, but not with this degree of specificity. But the longer it goes on, the moe I fear we are wrong - it is adapting and evolving - into something more like a very large honey badger with guns. Ceetainly iy is armed and dangerous.

AlterNet - Yes, this is exactly what Sharia law looks like when it is Christian. Of course that is Christian in name only.

Universe - Way cute.

Enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts, Lynn. I expect you were glad to hear a faulty power bank was at the root of your internet problems and not your new laptop or your PC. You certainly made up for being off-line with this article. Mind you don't aggravate yourself too much with next-door's political mayhem, though ūüėČ

CBC: I think Marco Gutierrez of "Latino's for Trump" is just as much bought and paid for by the Drumpf machinery as many others. Wheeling and dealing is the way Drumpf has done business from the start of his career and making America great again is in apparent need of a lot of that. People are willing to close of their mind for the content of Drumpf messages because they either profit from it one way or another, or they are gullible enough to buy into it or simply don't care and only like the circus. Or, and those are the worst, because they hear Drumpf "telling it like it is", i.e. saying out loud what they've been thinking, and like it a lot. And "… what is said during the heat of political battle does not necessarily represent one's views"is just the standard Republican coping mechanism when Drumpf's statements and those of other TPers are just too much to take on board.

MG: Not many leaders of Western countries have ever touched upon Holodomor. Trudeau shows true leadership.

FP: " Classified as "critically endangered" by international authorities…" Rosa Brooks certainly got that right. But I don't think this classification is will bring tears to the eyes of many nor get action groups demanding that the "enormous pachyderm" is put high on th list of animals in need of protection. In stead there's a call for the beast to be humanely euthanized and spare it an agonizing death. So why not listen to this call and put it out of its misery in November?

Alternet: Oh yes, this is fascism, pure and simple. I take back what' I've stated above. No humanly euthanizing for this decrepit but dangerous animal. It needs to be shot on sight to put US out of OUR MISERY.

My Universe: So glad you put this in after those 50 fascist GOP points.

Thanks, Lynn. I am trying desperately not to shut down before November. It is getting harder and harder not to. I can't deal with Derr Fuhrer Dumbass and his minions right enrages me too much. Fascism enrages me too much. Anyone who buys into The Orangecicle's BS in any race is either bought out or so full up with the Kool Aid or so willfully STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID as to be lost forever. I forced myself to watch the last 10 minutes of Derr Fuhrer's speech last night ....I wanted to commit Hari Kiri when he stopped spewing. I swear to Dawg that that IIIIIIIIIIIIIIDIOT has PRACTICED his POSTURING as to be a Doppelganger of MUSSOLINI, I swear to DAWG he has. He was a mirror image of Il Duce when he was pandering to his Italian crowd. Gave me the willies......and made me want to commit Hari Kiri twice as much.

David C., you are sooooo right!

Guitierrez es un PENDEJO! What do the words of these people represent? Horseshit!

See my posting, atC2, about how empty Rumpy is:

Holodomor: There is absolutley no evidence that the human race will ever learn…sadly.

FP: If only!!!!!!!!!!!

Alternet: The GOP platform will take us down the rabbit hole, to a whole other universe, equivalent to Alice in Wonderland's worst nightmare!

Fascism: When people loose their bloody brains and vote with their rumps!

Glad you are getting some free time.

CBC: Well, we know what ever Trump does for us will be "Yuge". Living with dread that he will get the opportunity.

Montreal Gazette: We need Trudeau here!

Foreign Policy: I loved this and shared it.

Alternet: The Republicans have obviously read a different version of our Constitution than I did. Vote Blue.

My Universe: I love these, and have seen all but the last one, we don't have a ping pong net.

CBC: What has this guy, Marco Gutierrez, been smelling lately… Trump is NOT a natural born leader; he is a naturally born BULLY!

Montréal Gazette: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau does understand what genocide is all about. …"man's inhumanity towards man." This genocide is referred to as Holodomor. Unfortunately, genocides continue even to this day and age. "Will humanity ever learn?" sigh.

Foreign Policy: Elaphantidae republicans, also known as the American Republican elephant, is in its final throes of extinction. Come November, this once civilized animal needs to be put down as gently as possible, with an earth shattering thud, and euthanized.

Alternet: Please do read this synopsis of the GOP's platform to get an idea of what it is proposing to do IF they win the 2016 election. Have some barf bags handy while you are reading this!

If you really want to read the Official GOP platform, here is the link. Careful reading this as it is written in "Doublespeak" also known as "Newspeak".

Republican Platform in a .pdf format, Official.

My Universe: I got dizzy looking at the kitties bobbing their heads. lol.

Ros, I've never heard that one. A lot of people (not many Canadians) think that Canadians and Americans are the same, but I strongly disagree. Although we have the same mother, we definitely developed differently --- the US born out of a bloody revolution, Canada out of negotiation and legislation. While our constitutions and their attendant bills of rights are similar, Canadians do not have the right to bear arms thankfully. What I have heard many times in the past is that Canadians are the polite cousins. I think that is changing unfortunately.

Lona, amen to November and the extinction of the American pachyderm! It is not a real pachyderm though --- real ones are incredibly intelligent; the American pachyderm not so!

Edie, I heard a story that someone proposed making Canada the 51st state and having Trudeau the President. Trudeau's response: his current job was big enough!

Thanks all.
