Congress Quietly Passed a Budget Outline With $1.8 Trillion in Health Care Cuts

US Politics & Gov't  (tags: economy, healthcare, healthcare, budget cuts )

The agenda the resolution outlines is radical. The federal welfare state would be rolled back in just about every dimension, with health care programs particularly affected. All non-Medicare health programs would see a cut of $1.3 trillion, or nearly 30%

They should be thrown in prison for passing a death sentence on people. I hope all those who voted for him are happy with their Make America Great Again. I suppose as he didn't quantify who it was going to be great for people just assumed them - but only "them" if they are up in the top 2% of the income brackets.

Grimly noted. Thx Wayne. These a**holes make the unreconstituted Grinch look like a mensch. Hopefully a bunch of them will wind up in jail next week...

Good evening and thank you for this article -which i read and noted- it brought me to tears to see what trump his congress and his cabinet are doing to this country and its citizens all in the name - greed- treason- white supremacy- hatred for the poor and middle class- his hatred for the sick and elderly- these horrific republicans are making sure that and woman- or infant is not provided for from conception-thru pregnancy-thru birth -and on thru infancy- childhood- school- college- employment- marriage- military service- retirement - and end of life- by cutting or denying medical care for maternity- the WIC PROGRAM that gives formula for infants and help to new mothers-by ending THE CHIP PROGRAM- which is medical care for kids- by denying free school lunches to starving school kids- by charging horrific interest rate on college loans- by not allowing affordable health coverage to workers and their families - by taking their retirement funding away 401k- BY cutting or denying medicare medicaid and social security to the elderly- by not providing suitable housing for them and for veterans- by denying us clean watwer- clear air- safe food and medications- by canceling all regulations that protect our rights and freedoms -STAND UP AMERICA SPEAK OUT - DEMAND TO BE HEARDE - TELLING THEM STOP THIS OR WE WILL REPLACE THEM WITH GOOD HONEST REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS- sincerely KAY M,.

More proof that our "government" is not of the people, by the people, or for the people; but of the corporations and super-rich, by the corporations and super-rich, and for the corporations and super-rich. Both of my Senators voted for this crap. I contacted their offices and let them know how ticked-off I was. Neither will be getting my vote!

This vote is yet more proof that the republicans do not represent the best interests of the common, everyday man and woman of America.
They are cowards and liars.

This is downright evil. I think many of the Republicans in the House are so blinded by their hatred of Obama and their failure to obliterate his health plan that they are willing to kill many of the American people just to carry out this mission they have been obsessed with. I'm no fan of the ACA, but these fools certainly have no better ideas. As long as the insurance parasites are part of the picture, we will be unable to provide the kind of healthcare should be the right of every person in this country. Thanks Wayne.
