Jennifer Thomas just wants her dog back. The Woodland, Wash., woman says she is currently feeling pressure from kidnappers who are holding her dog, Jaggar, for ransom, demanding not only $1,000 for his return, but her prescription drugs as well.

On vacation and no one else is looking for this dog?
I guess extortion isn't a real crime?
I'm sure the investigator isn't too concerned.......it's just a dog.

This is getting to be a common crime in the UK and it takes a lot of footwork and time to find the kidnappers.

I am appalled that the case was allocated to someone just going on holiday as it is extortion which is surely a felony. Just because a dog was taken doesn't make it any less traumatic and demanding money and drugs, from a vulnerable person should be prioritised.

NOT Ridiculous for this Lady & for her beloved Dog.

I thought I had heard of people doing some low common things but this takes the cake. When they catch these scum they should give them whatever they do to the poor dog. They should not stop till they find them and make sure they need those pain pills.

I'm sure NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED IF YOU JUST RETURN HIM and if not when they catch you I HOPE you rot in jail.

This is such a disturbing story! I hope that they will be able to trace the messages, or somehow track down these criminals. This sweet dog has obviously never known anything but kindness, and I can only hope he is safe.

This is pretty bad. In Melbourne at the moment we have a spate of dog and cat breeds going missing, they believe that thieves are targeting certain breeds for resell, very sad, but this, this is truly unbelievable, all the time the idiots spent planning this could have gone into creating money in a positive way. I am really worried for this dog, please do post any follow ups to the story Barb. I hope investigators take this seriously, poor lady.

This is so sicking for someone to do this lady this way and her dog as well. Disabled people Do Not have money. This has to be some bullies on the block to do this and hope they get caught with life in jail for doing her this way. Where is the Disability Laws Act when you need it? Hope everything ends in happiness for her and her dog.

Thank you BarbCat for the post. It didn't upset me that the lady and her dog was done this way. It put fire in the coal wishing I knew where these people were that did this to her.

This is kidnapping and it is extortion. And it's terrorism. TY BarbCat
If Andy's off on vacation, can't they send Barney? Is that one person the only person that can investigate this CRIME? Praying for the quick and safe return of Jennifer Thomas's Jaggar.

Amen Hattie.
Sending a Green Star is a simple way to say "Thank you"
You cannot currently send a star to Hattie because you have done so within the last week.

These people (?) are really, really sick. To target a handicapped woman and take her dog from her. Then text her nasty messages...(can't they be traced or something?) Gawd, this is really sad, and horrible! Hope they find these POS's and arrest them for this crime!!! Ms. Thomas needs to get another investigator on the case too!!!! Thanks, Barb, keep me posted on this would ya? Thanks!!

Desperate times it is indeed. I hope the dog is okay. Do they honestly think they're going to get the money/drugs now? I hope they do the right thing and let the dog go.

Noted, I hope she will get her dog back, safely. This horrible. And seem like even the police does not care...investigator is on one-week vacation!? If they want vacation, they must have someone cover for the job during those time. If they don't know that crime never stop during the vacation, then they should change the job.

Noted with disgust and outrage!!!! The people who took her dog are probably drug addicts and completely out of their minds. I sincerely hope she gets her dog unharmed. I read some unpleasant comments made by people regarding the article and the video(not from Care 2). How heartless some people are! It makes me sick! This woman is in a wheelchair and needs her dog for comfort. Who can't understand that. I hope they catch these people and put them in rehab so they cant pull anything as cruel and thoughtless as this.

Extortion is a crime.

The person assigned to this case is on vacation??
Whoever did the assigning should be taken to the back of the woodshed and spanked.

Hope this woman will get her dog back soon, very soon.

TY, Barb.
