Amazing that a person of this caliber is allowed to be a judge, even the lowest ranking one.

It astounds me that such completely moronic individuals somehow manage to get through law school.

Can't be a human being, become a lawyer, can't be a lawyer, become a judge.

Ok that may be a bit harsh, but this judge is the bottom of the barrel. She needs to be unemployed ASAP.

Kentucky rated most racist state in the union - this judge certainly proves the point.

"McLaughlin is the lowest-rated judge in Jefferson County “by a wide margin,” according to the Louisville Bar Association (LBA). "

What a surprise. Here's hoping whomever her opponent is highlights her bigotry and her ratings. It is very hard to unseat a sitting judge, it very rarely happens, but here is an instance where, clearly, this woman is unqualified, racist and unfit to judge anything, let alone people.

Probably rated that way because apparently she spends more time observing fashion than doing her job.

There are judges with personal unconstitutional agendas all over the south. My Girl Scout troop in North Carolina got more of a lesson in the judicial system than they or I expected when I took them on a field trip to the County Courthouse for an afternoon (or it may have been all day - it's along time ago now and my memory is not what is used to be.) They - and I were totally shocked when the judge offered to dismiss a traffic ticket if the (white male) defendant would get a haircut. That shock was exceeded only by our subsequent shock when the fellow came back and the judge said it wasn't short enough, to get some more cut. On the second return trip it was short enough to please the (white male) judge. This was not the only incident while I was in service that taught me that men are indeed interested in fashion, even if only as a tool with which to beat someone up. Apologies to all decent white males; I know you exist and I don't mean you.

Hmm... depending on the type of haircuts and traffic ticket, maybe it cost the guy more in the end. But that's still nuts.

Yes, there are bad judges in the South. But while it may be tempting to pick on one region, I'm sure we got quite a few nutcase judges in the North.

the only good thing she said was about him having been charged with cruelty to animals. THAT i would throw him away forever. But other than that....highly unprofessional!

May she not be re-elected and may she see what the real world is like as a criminal dense attorney or a public defender where you cannot pick your clients so easily. The minute she steps out of line, she could find herself disbarred. That would be her greatest career achievement.

Seems in some quarters being a fair and impartial person is not a requirement for being a judge.

I"m not really impartial (ever lol). But I could do a better job than her. I wonder how much she makes...

Ondine, just what "caliber" are you assuming this twit encompasses? 25 caliber, like her apparent IQ?

Kathleen M (208)

Noted with disgust. Thanks, Carrie. The only judge lower than this twit is the one who blamed a teenage victim of a rape for "being older than her age," and therefore complicit in the "event." He gave the perp a ridiculously light sentence. The child later committed suicide. How do these people become judges?
