The sources say that WTO determined that U.S. rules to place mandatory labels on meat packages identifying where the animal was born, raised and slaughtered were unfair, reinforcing a previous ruling from 2012 that prompted the U.S. to revise its rules.

i maynot pay much attn to where it comes from but i see nothing wrong to have the labeling. what if a country was having an outbreak of mad cow disease. or other things or even us have a problem people should have the choice

If I buy meat, it is always locally sourced and non-factory farm, so that tends to make it easier when it comes to knowing where the meat came from

If they weren't trying to hide anything, I don't see what the problem is with labeling where food comes from.

we should be able to decide if we want meat from certain countries. i don't eat sea food from countries that i don't like their sanitary conditions and i want the same options for my meat. the idea of eating meat processed in china makes me shudder and they are one of many countries i don't want food from.
how dare the wto tell us how we should label or get our food. we aren't under their control we are our own controllers.

I buy my meat from a local meat market that sources only from local farms and ranches. I would trust absolutely NOTHING that comes from China.

It is sad that US consumers do not know where their meat and poultry are coming from. I recently read an article that said KFC, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Dominos import their meat and poultry from China. I wouldn't eat anything produced in China. I hate them, because they are torturing, sicko, sub-human POS's who skin dogs and boil them alive before eating them.

I believe we have a right to know where our food come from, after all we are consuming it. I Believe the US should tell the WTO to go to hell they are protecting their citizens.

I don't see a problem with labeling where a product originated. What I don't understand is why the US imports meat from other countries and vice versa. Why not stay with local markets? Am i missing some deep message here?
