Many would Slava. A local business ~ Pizza 9 ~ has added to the reward by saying they will give a free pizza every week for a year if someone has a tip that leads to a conviction in this case. They are also encouraging other businesses to add to the reward. The New Mexico BioPark Society has not endorsed their reward, but I do believe it is a show of support.

What horrible news. The Tasmanian Devils are endangered through a infectious cancer and now the breeding program this little guy was part of, is in danger too. I hope they find whoever did this, although it wouldn't surprise me in the least that it'll turn out to be some juveniles doing it as a dare.

Money won't bring the Tasmanian devil back. But I hope the killer'll be caught, anyway.

I don't know what happened but I do know that someone killed an animal and that to me is a serious crime. I hope they get whoever did it and well, it is just lucky I don't get to hand out sentences for animal abuse/murder.

If it was juveniles....I am so tired of them getting off the hook because of "age" ...when you kill or rape a person or torture an animal, you definitely know "right" from "wrong".

The cancer threat to Tasmanian devils makes the murder of Jasper an even more serious crime. Many zoos should be shut down for various reasons, but no zoo that can't provide surveillance cameras and adequate protection for animals should be allowed to operate at all. I hope the perp or perps are caught and sentenced to the maximum extent of the law, and that the sentence will include the psychological help that is so obviously needed for anyone who would kill a non-threatening animal. I hope whoever did this will someday be capable of great remorse for the killing. Article noted and petitions signed. Thank you, Carrie and Joanne!
