Obama Full of Swagger: State of the Union Leaves GOP Enraged

When Barack Obama looked out into the audience of his State of the Union speech on Tuesday, he was met with a truly historic sight. No Democratic president in the last century has addressed a Congress dominated by so many Republican lawmakers.

They are all irrelevant as the multi-national corporate direcorate rules the world for the richest of the rich like profits of doom.

Same in the UK.

The only fly in the ointment for us in the UK, is because immigration is such a hot potato, that Nigel Farage's UKIP Party threatens to disturb the status quo of the dull Tory/Conservation two party politics with Lib Dems being in poor third/fourth.

Obama can be forgiven for having a little swagger, since the Republicans have decimated the American way of life and economy over the last few decades.

I loved watching Obama last night. No swagger ~ just confidence and determination! Very presidential.

Noted. Well, I didn't notice any swagger either. And, I thought it was an excellent speech. But, I'm not ready to agree to KXL tacked onto a bill to fund infrastructure or college. And, those trade agreements must not be fast-tracked. We need to know what's in them, since much has been kept secret. Otherwise, there was much applause at my house.

Great speach but I'm afraid nothing much will be done.

The Republicans wanted their egos stroked.

They expected Obama to go up there and literally bow infront of the Speaker in AWE of their "amazing" victory.

When Obama actually acted like a Democrat again, they were shocked and upset.

To quote Clinton, (but he meant Mitt Romney. I"m referring to Obama)

Obama is backkkk :)

Agreed Carrie. Confidence and determination and a resolve to do what's best for the nation have been his aim fro m the get-go. It's the conservative, obstructionist elitists that are the problem. And if anybody has swagger and uses shameless posturing, it's definitely the GOP.

Narcissism and incompetence fuels Obama. The mid term elections gave Obama a shellacking ~ the voters sent Obama a bad report card one he obviously cannot accept.
