TEXT OF ARTICLE:

ISIS released a video on Tuesday that it claims shows the execution of East Jerusalem Palestinian Muhammad Musallam, 19, who was taken hostage as an alleged Israeli spy three months ago in Syria, NBC News reports.

The video, which was about 13 minutes long, showed Musallam on his knees as he listened to the older fighter speaking the verdict in French. Then the boy, wearing a military uniform and armed with a pistol, stands face to face with Musallam and fires one bullet into his forehead. Musallam crumbles, then the child shoots him three more times and chants "Allahu Akbar!" (God is Greatest).

In the video, Musallam repeated what he said last month in an interview published by the group's English language magazine Dabiq, in which he said he had joined Islamic State to report to the Israelis on weapons caches, bases and Palestinian recruits. Israel and his family denied that he was an Israeli spy. "I tell my father and my son: Repent to God. I say to the spies who spy on Islamic State: You will not be successful, they will expose you," Musallam said in the latest video, in Arabic.

Last month Musallam's family confirmed to Haaretz that their son had traveled to Syria to fight for ISIS. The jihadist organization later published an article about Musallam in its magazine Dabiq titled "Interview with a spy working for the Israeli Mossad."

Musallam had lived with his family in East Jerusalem. He completed 12 years of schooling and even worked as a national service volunteer with the Israeli firefighting services. His father, Said Musallam, told Haaretz that his son told him three months ago that he was traveling to a course in the city of Rishon Letzion, and asked him for money.

"He left that morning and the next day I tried to call him and the telephone was turned off," said the father. "I thought that maybe he was busy. After a week we got an email that he wanted to be a martyr and he was giving up everything in his life and his family."

And, if true? How does that make you feel?

If it can be corroborated, then a whole generation of children are brainwashed beyond reason, and will view killing as normal.

What I feel is the absolute disgust at anyone teaching and encouraging children to murder! That a child was lead to do this is incomprehensible to me.

Then why do you do the dance of joy when your pallie friends teach their children to kill Jews and become glorious martyrs?

ISIS likes to kill. It doesn't matter if the Palestinian boy was a spy, or not. The video is impressive and serves the purpose.

ros, the world is (marginally) outraged by isis. The world is barely aware of boko, qaeda, etc. The world reveres hamas and hezbollah as glorious freedom fighters.

*My people* have been *spared*???? Where have you been for these past decades??

Ros G.
That would explain Vladimir Putin (1.70 m), Kim Jong‑un (1.75 m) and Adolf Hitler (1.73 m), all of whom are vertically challenged.

When the Da'esh first arrived on the scene, I likened the way they recruited and manipulated new followers to the way gangs operate. The way these children are "initiated" and brought under their control by having to kill someone is another example of this. It has nothing to do with religion, conviction or even any view on life, it's all power play and manipulation tactics that have proven themselves over time in many countries all over the world. The "feature" the Da'esh have added and know how to exploit like no others, is the use of the Internet. It brings them fresh young recruits now, but in the end it'll be their downfall.

Lona - a good comparison - gangs & cults use people's weaknesses, especially the weaknesses of young people who want to make a difference, look for a "cause" to belong to ... And you're right about internet as a dangerous platform ... I hope that you're also right about the downfall ..

Any movement that promotes hatred & violence & intolerance is terrible. Promoting burning alive, beheadings, ... ALL such movements are destructive and intolerable. Whatever the religion of those preaching such behaviour .... It is all the more worrying when it happens in formal election campaigning ... called for by government officials ...

I read about this last night. I don't know how Hell works, if there are special torments reserved for those who corrupt the morals of young children, but I think that teaching kids to praise God while committing murder is so perverse I believe it merretts eternal damnation.

Tony Blair, 1.83 m, and Margaret Thatcher, 1.66 m

Significantly, whilst becoming the first female Prime Minister, how many women were in her cabinet during her years in power. . . ?
