Haaretz is reporting demolition plans for the Palestinian village of Susiya may be halted based on an internal Israeli Civil Administration (ICA) report the paper has obtained confirming the village of Susiya is sitting on Palestinian land privately ...

Mondo Weiss is a known anti-Israel hate site, spreading lies and hate about Israel.

This site is frequently used by Islamist and Arab Nationalist propagandists to spread their dawah on the Internet.

Carrie continues with her agenda. Anything anti-Israel goes.

This looks more promising:

The article,”Defense Ministry internal report: Land at village slated for demolition privately owned by Palestinians” states ICA officer Moshe Meiri found the ownership deeds, based on 1881 Ottoman documents submitted by Susiya’s Jabor family were “indeed valid”. The upshot, according to Haaretz, is “Sussia residents cannot be forced to leave Sussia”.

Thanks, Carrie, for posting this.

While some don't like the number of posts about Susiya - they'd rather eyes stopped looking that way so that the Israeli authorities could slip in & demolish without the court case possibly blocking settlement plans for use of these villagers' land - it is important to keep this case to the fore .... AND the reality that this land belongs not just to Palestine but to specific families, and should not be grabbed out of land-greedy demand

Bob's baloney repetitive comment brings nothing of value here. He forgets that the Times of Israel has reported the same thing as Haaretz (1881 Document Suggests Palestinian Ownership of Susya) - this Mondoweiss article is based on FACTS confirmed in other media, within Israel - and while Bob considers Haaretz as only fit for wrapping garbage, He should recognise that the Times of Israel is not a respected left-wing liberal source but mainstream Israeli (pro government) newspaper ...

However, while they might not be forced to leave, Meiri says Susiya residents “still need building permits in order to prevent the planned demolition.” But when Susiya residents submitted a professionally developed master plan for the village of Susiya to the ICA 2 years ago and filed a request for building permits, rejected by the ICA, the reasoning given for denying the permits was because they claimed the residents lacked ownership papers . Haaretz notes “Meiri’s report, however, appears to counter the reasoning that building permits cannot be issued to the local people because of a lack of ownership papers.”

Indeed it does.

It is unclear from the article when the internal report was written and how long the Defense Ministry’s Civil Administration has been sitting on this document, Haaretz just states the document was drawn up “following an inquiry by the Jabor family”.

One wonders how much warnings and pressure from the U.S. government and the European Union had to do with this decision. No mention of the huge demonstration in the village over the weekend, hundreds of Israelis join in. Nonetheless, it’s fortunate Meiri managed to eventually locate the geographical boundaries on the Ottoman documents.....

Thanks Carrie.

Carol - this document will have been in the official case files (or a notarised copy, at least) all along. Just as was the equivalent title in the Nassar farm (Tent of Nations family, Bethlehem) case.

They try to use notarised copies, since "originals" demanded have, in the past, "happened" to be "lost" during processing ... As happened to friends of mine about 30 years ago .... And when no "original" can be shown .... obviously the case is then lost

No Bob. No one needs to spread hate against Israel. They do that all by themselves.

Just treat it with the honor and respect that America did and does with it's Constitution and Declaration Of Independence----when it comes to Native Americans. The 1% of evil that rules Earth has no and displays no honor. If you aren't a working force within their system, then you're their enemy and your life is at risk. If you're a thorn in their side, you will be quickly removed. Anyone who supports this evil ruling force, is part of that force. It doesn't matter whether it's out of fear, brainwashing, or comes from the heart. Is "Evil" the majority? If so, why is the ruling evil global force reportedly 1%? I believe it is larger, but, I also believe that the majority of Earth's common folks trust their inner awareness, have become enlightened, have made a soulful decision as to whether they wish to fight on the side of good or evil. Have a mindset as to what types of displays of character, behavior, thought, deed are good or evil. That cut and dry. A line one doesn't cross, unless one fears that their life or others they care for is threatened, or unless they feel that evil is their truth. How they came to that conclusion, only they know. I am "anti-Evil" and came to that conclusion at age 3 and never changed my mind. Time cemented it. To hate anyone or anything, feeds it or them. If you instead send and request positive energies, it weakens negative forces. Difficult, as we're taught to hate, fear, strike out, verbally castigate the opposite of ourselves. You don't have to think of yourself as a saint, just choose sides, good or evil, and drown the negative with positive. Love, peace, truth, goodness, purity, light, are toxic to them.
