Who would have ever believed that so many big names in the Republican Party would publicly pledge to vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election?

Don't be silly, there aren't any Republicans with common sense. An eye on the Dollar, yes.

Trump is his own maverick self, and appears to be uncontrollable. The FBI have been quoted as saying, "Trump would be a difficult brief"

He doesn't like to be told, and prefers lecturing and sounding off, so considers himself a big player, and not to be played with, by bigger players. His ego is sufficiently inflated that I doubt much could burst it.

No Darren ~ Republicans who know Trump would be bad for this country.

Let's just be sure we keep him as the nominee all the way through the election. Because he is going to take the whole crooked republican apparatus down with him. If he gets forced out or quits, that gives the RNC a chance to improve their chances, at least down ticket, and I don't want that happening either. So just keep talking Donald, it is all you are good at. Not making sense, mind you, just blathering on hatefully. That's your art of the deal. Stay with it until November. Then go away.

BOTH Clinton AND Trump are BAD for your country.

Wake up and smell reality.

Darren, I'm not sure why you are trying to change my mind, ~ it's not going to happen. I think with what is going on in your own country, you would be more worried about that. Besides, a President Trump certainly wouldn't be any friend to Great Britain. I don't think you can deny that Hillary would be, ~ or don't you care?

I've not JUST been focusing on America. . . I was NOT in favor of BREXIT before that fiasco started. I am keenly interested in US Politics because of the fact that what happens in the $tates usually has far reaching consequences for the rest of the world, given how much interest and stake the US has in other countries.

If your mind is made up, move on, and vote for who you're going to vote for. No amount of posts from me or anyone else is going to change that, unless something which someone else actually resonates with you.

Had I not been on CARE2 for the last couple of years, and learned all I now know about Clinton, Sanders, Stein and others, I would probably be voting for Hillary myself, BUT, having look at all the currently available facts and figure, I wouldn't now.

So my mind isn't going to be changed into voting for her now. We're in agree to disagree territory.

"Many patriotic, conservative and faith-oriented Americans are really hoping that Trump can win and move this nation in a positive direction...." These would be some of the most delusional of our countrymen!
Mr Howe, of needs to take a close look at how well Kansas has been doing, being it is a "model' re state!

No surprise as she is the warhawk and represents everything that is wrong with DC. Hillary is the poster politician for Washington corruption.

Exhibit A:
"Video: Hillary Clinton, A Threat to All Humanity. World War III is “On the Table”. Her Candidacy Must be Opposed"

In other news many non Establishment people are looking to Gary Johnson. The only current candidate that supports Peace & Liberty!

I gather that Mike the Headless Chicken turned them down. If anything Donald Trump has managed in the past week to show what an appalling man he is as he just does not know when to stop when he digs himself into a hole - he is a China Crisis of holes. If anything Hilary Clinton is the more palitable option, she is sufficiently a WASP to be acceptable whilst trump is just coming over as a stubby fingered vulgar mad man without any of the sublty of Richard Nixon.

I found this very interesting within the article: " of the biggest stories that will come out of the 2016 election will be the fact that the American people got to see how far the elite are willing to go to keep someone that is not "in the club" from becoming president."
And, I believe that statement is true for both parties.

@Kay the same could be said of Clinton except instead of trying to work with Russia she wants to wage war against Russia with NATO as our main tool. Did you forget how the banking cartel loves Clinton?

It would not surprise me if it came out that Trump was a plant all along to ensure that Clinton becomes President. Let's face it there is nothing to like about Clinton and nobody can take Trump seriously. Clinton needed a really bad nominee from the Republican wing. They are counting on us to choose the lesser evil and not say screw the Establishment and vote for 3rd parties.

"America’s Oligarchs Support Hillary Clinton Almost Unanimously"

"The historical background of the current developments in the U.S., has already been well covered in a lengthy paper by Ryan Patrick Alford, that’s appropriately-titled “The Dismantling of the Rule of Law in the United States”(especially see there “Citizens United,” which is a direct source of this).

"On August 2nd, Carrie Dann at NBC headlined, “Clinton, Allies Have Reserved $98 Million in Ads”, and she opened: “Hillary Clinton and her allies are poised for a TV ad blitz of nearly $100 million dollars, compared to less than $1 million currently reserved on the airwaves by backers of Donald Trump.” That’s a wipe-out of Trump, by the oligarchs.

The detailed total on ads that have already been aired was: “Through last week, Team Clinton had aired a total of $68 million in ads, while Team Trump had spent roughly $6 million.” The totals booked going forward are even more skewed in Clinton’s favor: $98 million for Clinton, $817,000 for Trump. (In other words: Trump’s ratio is even worse now, than it was leading up to the two Conventions.)

Going forward, it’s like a hundred-to-one advantage, Clinton over Trump.

Perhaps the reason why this is so, is: Clinton has already spoken privately with the heads of these companies (the companies owned by the oligarchs) and with their lobbyists, and she coordinates her campaign with their propaganda-operations. So: her messages are also their messages. (But what she has told them behind closed doors goes even beyond that, into her proposing new federal subsidies for their businesses.)"

"But, whatever the reason: in the current U.S. Presidential race, there is no real contest at all, in terms of support by the oligarchs — and their support tends to be decisive. There is, amongst them, a near-100% unity around one nominee, as there has never been before in American history, at least going back to 1896, and perhaps to the founding of the republic. (Furthermore, back near the founding, there was no oligarchy; the nation started out as being, to a large extent, a democratic republic. It no longer is that.)"

What's the difference?

Darren Woolsey (218)
Friday August 5, 2016, 8:28 am
No difference at all for the ordinary everyday working citizen.

That's the reality that people believing that Clinton will make a better difference than Trump, will have to compute, once their lack of desire for real change, takes effect.
