Thank you Carrie for posting this. No matter what one feels about a particular war, or their personal religion, the fact that the soldier signed on and placed their life on the line. We can have political debate as to whether we should of been there or not, whether we should be there now or not, whether we should spend more or less on the military, but what one should never do is negate that soldiers life - nor attack his parents in any way.

If the parents say something out of grief then that is something that should be overlooked we do not know what it is to have lost a son or daughter until we have lost one - in all that is merciful may that never happen to the rest of us who are reading this thread. Donald Trump has said a lot of things off the cuff he isn't a polished politician, but just as a human being he should of known enough to bite his tongue on this.

I will say the only silver lining out of it all is that more people are aware of their beloved son and know the type of human being he was one of true sacrifice - not the sacrifice of making money, that is not sacrifice it is doing what you do to make money.
