Clover Leaf sells tuna that is caught using methods that catch much more than just the fish in the cans. Significant numbers of marine species including sharks, sea turtles, seabirds, among others, fall victim to the indiscriminate fishing methods favour.

People are fishing the oceans dry, and that is a sad note!!

It's called 'by-catch' when other species are caught accidentally and die, and it happens with a lot more companies than Clover Leaf. Anywhere bottom trawling and drift net fishing is used for any type of fish it happens.
It's incredible the amount of overharvesting of the oceans that occurs and it is causing huge declines in remaining fish species.

When the small fisherman was on the seas the damage done to our seas was far less. We need to stop this ocean farming with large commercial fishing fleets. The people ate locally, someone along the coast of Maine ate lobsters but now they are being flown around the world which depletes the lobster. This is true with all the various types of fish and their careless ways of catching them.
