Tom Atlee, author of The Tao of Democracy, is on a mission to bring the citizen back into democracy through a simple and practical method. The co-director of The Co-Intelligence Institute in Eugene, Oregon, calls for the introduction of citizen councils~

Noted. What a wonderful, wise man! Thank you for sharing this. Tom is absolutely right; the crises our civilization have caused are piling up rapidly. That's why this year, I'm voting against free market capitalism.

Interesting, how it can be incorporated in US politics at this point - I've no idea - we've already lost our fairly decent plan for democracy to the plutocrats, and I suspect any challenge will be met with an equally more "profitable" counter - and the success of any such venture unless paid for with extraordinary funds is doomed to fail against the corporate funding of much more sophisticated programs already in progress! Am I too cynical?

We actually have the fairness doctorine here in Canada and I have to say that most of your politicians would be in jail up here. It does restrict free speech but replaces it instead with fair speech. What is given to one side in our media must be given to the other and propaganda is not allowed.

Lying propaganda SHOULD be illegal in the states as well. Fox would have to close its doors.
