Thanks--signed and sent.

It's difficult to ensure what happens in countries other than our own, so we should not contract out activities to known places which have low standards of all kinds for their workers.

Noted and had already signed and tweeted. I will not be buying from any of these companies, as they don't seem to give a hoot about Human Rights. This tragedy should never have happened.
Thank You Nancy.

This is indeed one of the keys that has kept me out of Walmart for years, going on my second decade now.

I cannot in good conscience eat food, or wear clothes I know came out of the suffering of others.

So no way I can patronize Walmart in anyway as the only ones not suffering from its existence are the Walton heirs.

I agree with Syd- we need to stop giving our financial support to the Evil Empire known as Wal-mart. There are so many reasons not to shop there- they don't care about animal abuse from their suppliers either, they don't buy anything locally produced because it's too much trouble, they abuse their employees rights too...

health and safety can be protected, but not when government and industry are not held accountable

Companies like Walmart have for years expected the taxpayers to help them and subsidize them! They can't seem to understand workers need to be treated better and give them decent pay and benefits! When the workers have been given a schedule for only so many hrs a week and never the same each week, so they cannot work another job to make ends meet they rely on aid from the taxpayer! So glad this company is taking A STEP! They have got a LONG WAY TO GO YET!

S+N - I don't give Wal-Mart my business, but factories utilizing this sort of slave labor have got to be shown to the public - and we as responsible consumers must research our products.
