The first effort of its kind to prevent wild horses roaming the Navajo Nation in the U.S. Southwest from being sent to slaughter in Mexico has gained the preliminary approval of tribal leaders, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson said on Thursday.

Nothing but BS coming from that camp--have they actually done a head count that tallies 70,000 horses. Would love to believe those murdering bastards will stop the roundups+slaughter but that chief is Bi-Polar+totally unreliable. He's always flip flopping from killing to saving. Birth control must used--no more slaughter. thx Nancy

Seems to me, wild horses, bison and wolves could be a tourist attraction for the reservations. I'd pay to go see them. We need to get cattle off of our public lands that we the taxpayers are paying for. No more slaughter of these magnificent animals.

Noted and shared.We have the same trouble with the wild brumbies in Kosciusko National Park, this just deplorable on these beautiful horses, it is their country allow them to run freely in both Navajo and Australia. Thank for sharing Nancy.
