This makes me physically sick! I refuse to watch either one of them (re-runs of "Luck" nor the "Hobbit") how can they justify saying 'no animals hurt during the making of this film' when so many died?!? I'm just heartbroken for these poor babies and all they had to go through.....

This is terrible.
I have commented on a few posts in the care2 discussion and news area (I don't know what to call it?) when people say that animals are protected just fine on movie sets,TV, etc...

That is so not true as you can see here.
Have you ever seen at the end of the credits anything besides "no animals were harmed in the making of this film,etc?/)

You never see anything saying these animals have died or had an accident during filming...

Many comments were saying that there are plenty of people on the sets and animals are fine. I was disagreeing.
This is absolutely horrible above. During the Movie Flicka (I think the right name) several horses were killed.

Animals should not even be used in movies/tv.
They never ever have enough people on the set to assure that there is nothing wrong going on and too many times animals are used in dangerous situations. YOU CANNOT DO THAT!!
**I'm glad someone has decided to talk about this and let people know.

This infuriates me. More and more over the past 10 years there have been high numbers of the death of animals. A lot of horses.
Flicka was a huge one and posted on C2 to boycott when the last one came out because of the amount of horse after horse that was injured and killed. I kept thinking what are the actors told or why are they still doing the movie?? It was pretty major on C2 to boycott that movie. There were petitions.
I'm at a loss of what to say. Angry and very sad now.
TY for posting Judy!!!
