Calling lies "lies" and theft "theft" and violence "violence," loudly, clearly, and consistently, until truth becomes more than a bump in the road, is a powerful aspect of political activism.

Calling out both sides for what they are, should be one of those

Straight talk! We need more discussions about real issues with real names. Good article!

We absolutely need some honest, straight, and adult discourse from our leaders. It seems that honesty, integrity and maturity is sadly lacking in many of them.

I want my taxes to go where I prescribe. those who pay the most get the biggest decisions. The most being taxes paid relative to what I actually make. If you keep money in other countries it should be a flat tax of 5 million
per account. I don't understand why they young are not in the streets trying to save us from a Corporate America.

Language matters, truth matters...so we have a cesspool of greed, exploitation of people and resources, casualties from those who cannot defend themselves, profit lust, death, destruction, denial, deceit, obfuscation - all for ruthlessly amassing even more obscene riches for more of the same cesspool of rotteness and evil - "Lord Jesus forgive us our sins, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those who need Your mercy most"...

Now just how crazy is that? Calling lies as lies, violence as violence and BS as well.... Governments and business live on debt, that is a fact of life, not my opinion. Take a look at history, real history not some form of revisionist history. What the party of obstruction has created and fully left out of this election cycle is that it is they - the republicans that have halted and obstructed growth in this wretched but slowly growing economy.

In keeping with the dialogue of the article the only thing that republicans have contributed to the change of "words" is the word "NO", how that is in any way helpful....I don't know.

Kit is right : the republicans say mostly "No" to anything which doesn't come from them. "No" is not helpful at all !!
Obama would have been much further with lesser "No". It doesn't matter how good the ideas are, the Repugs say "No"...what bloody strategy is that ?!
