Time to put an end to these terrorists. They are just a case of foolish children who endanger others thru idealistic ignorance.

Gitmo needs to be shut down and the detainees fairly tried or freed ~ it's long past time.

What to do with suspected terrorist? Set them Free? The war on Terror is not over(Boston) or, did I miss something, but, I do know that 5,00 troops died in Iraq and don't forget about all the wounded. It is Bush that should be imprisoned there. In Afghan, the count is still on going. Granted they should tried in a Military Court and that GITMO should be shut down! Do I have pity on them? No! I would think that they are more dangerous now, then when they were sent there.

o my, well poor Judy. First of all. The Gitmo prisoners need a hearing, and many of them already were released by Prez Bush and Prez Obama promised to release them when he took office. So, they have every right to be really upset. They deserve to be heard. As for the "terrorists" label. I oppose labels. Many people are getting that rotten label right now. Eco-terrorist, Enviro-terrorist, animal-rights-terrorist.. blah blah blah and did you know, if you are signing petitions you are also in the grey area of eco-terrorist? Welcome to the LABEL! almost everyone on care2 has earned the wonderful label under the "new rules" thanks to Cispa and Pipa and many of the new ag-gag laws. muhahahaha!

Screw CISPA! Screw GITMO and screw the regime that perpetuates it. Anonymous are not terrorists Scott. Do you know any Anons? No? Then hush your gums, you know not what s**t you speak. They endanger nobody and fight for what is right.

The sooner that the hell hole that is GITMO closes down, the better.

I don't want hacker dictators running any part of my life. GITMO prisoners can be transferred to one of our empty prisons. It will create jobs. Then the issue of what court to try them can be addressed.

Thanks so much for posting, Judy! Anon is absolutely right, and I wish them much luck. Heroes all. It's an absolute crime that Gitmo was ever created in the first place.

Anonymous has it right. It's past time for Guantanamo to be shut down. It should never have been opened.

Thanks for all your comments. Keeping this hellish and illegal place open just compounds the injustice. Unfortunately, Obama has shown that his word means nothing.

Terrorists and their secret supporters have to be held some where.Inge you have to put your love peace and understanding in context.
Terrorists have been so indoctrinated there is no going back for them so all the love in the world will not help

How convient if they were to die or vanish off the face of the earth. How safe we would be. Heck, that's what happens in 3rd world countries. But we are NOT a 3rd world country (yet). Denying trials is the first step.
If they can be plucked out at random as terrorists (without trial)...just how safe are ANY of us from having a finger pointed at us, and locked up indefinately. I'm sure every single one of us MUST have pissed someone off in our lifetimes. Aren't we lucky they haven't turned us in out of spite?
We must have trials. Or go back to burning witches at the stake.

While I oppose hacking, I hope that Guantanamo gets finally shut down.
At the very least, Anonymous are creating publicity for shutting this crap down.

Thanks for a good discussion, everyone. I think the best approach is to uphold the ideals of justice that this country used to stand for. We should follow international law, as well. Like some of you said, if we can just lock people up indefinitely without charges, or due process which ones of us will be next? The guilty are entitled to a fair trial, as are the innocent. We do not presume the accused is guilty when we try them. Justice is supposed to be blind, and that system has worked quite well throughout our history.
