Our corporate masters seek to turn the natural world and human beings into malleable commodities that will be used and exploited until exhaustion or collapse. Trade agreements are the tools being used to achieve this subjugation.

The title says it all! Now that Mega-Corporations have the U.S. government wrapped around their grubby fingers, they hope to take over the planet like SPECTRE. Keep signing those petitions, sending those messages, and joining those demonstrations against this atrocity!

Noted. Thanks for posting, Judy.
As Chris Hedges explains, this is "NAFTA on steroids. Our corporate masters seek to turn the natural world and human beings into malleable commodities that will be used and exploited until exhaustion or collapse. Trade agreements are the tools being used to achieve this subjugation."

What happened to the President I voted for?! We must all spread the word and also inform our members of Congress to vote "NO" on this. What could possibly go wrong when multi-national corporations have power over the entire planet? (everything).

This signals the beginning of the end, for the whole planet, at least, as we know it.

Hate to quote a evil person, but how many divisions do corporations have? Only could tolerate so much. Not a exact quote.

TPP will only perpetuate our Oligarchy. It is time for our corporate masters to take a back seat to the PEOPLE. We do not work for them, they work for the good and will of the PEOPLE. Government serves the PEOPLE we do not serve the government. Government + Corporations = Death to the middle class and poor of the world.

Keeping this in the dark has been to the Corporate advantage. Having a President that has sold us out time and time again has been to their advantage. As Steve mentions having a Corporate mainstream media failing to bring up this TPP let alone how dire it is has been to their advantage. That we have few in the Congress that stand for the people instead of the Corporations has been to their advantage.

People will listen to Trump because he is loud, entertaining, he is a SHOWMAN and NOT a STATESMAN and he will be good for Corporate, after all he IS ONE. He makes money for Corporate TV, he is on the TV all the time but you'll never hear him mention why so many people from Mexico are here, like this article points out, it is only mentioned they have to leave.

Well they have to leave because the wages have been destroyed here, they have to leave because they are not needed anymore, the damage has been done via NAFTA. We have our own citizens working slave wages and many of them are behind bars in our prison system.

I'm actually pleased to see you got as many hits as you did Judy, but for a long time, you, myself and a couple others have been doing our best to get this information out there about the TPP and I know you and I for years now have try to awaken as many people as we can. We might be the small drops in the overall, but at least we did add our efforts to those that I can't thank enough like Chris Hedges, Ralph Nader, Dr. Margaret Flowers so many others that are doing this full time all the time to a wider audience.

I'm not ready to give up, as they say, it isn't over until it's over, but my personal gut feeling is "we are screwed" and so is my children and grandchildren. We are screwed big time and that it will have to be exactly as said at the end, a defiant and long lasting revolt.....and as Cornel West have said, there will be blood, it will be many of The People having to die, before the Corporate is defeated. Because they have the police geared to treat us in a violent way, they have the military and they have the courts wrapped up. This will make the initial Revolution look like child's play.

So, we can try to do this, using the broken system in place, getting behind one Voice that at least recognizes the urgency, and that would be Bernie Sanders. In fact that is why I'm just coming to the thread, I've been out there, feet on the ground, working my butt off trying to drum up more support for Bernie Sanders. I do it with all of the energy I can muster, because I feel this might be the very last chance we get to do this in a civil way, in a way without bloodshed.

But Corporate media does not want Bernie Sanders to win, Corporate media gets it's instruction from the top. It started with Bernie being wrote off, then ignored, then whoops he is gaining in numbers, so lets ignore him then let the public know he can't win......for too many who want to always vote with the "crowd" that said over and over again is always a good tactic. Push the Corporatist on both Parties.....for Republicans it matters little but Trump is entertaining as I said, and makes money for the Media in ads so they will push him, and Dems have Hillary.

Hillary, the one who is sounding so progressive today to "be" Bernie even though she isn't close to being what Bernie is all about. But for the non knowing, that is the game play, sound like Bernie, and say, hey, who do you want, someone with a name you "know" Clinton.......or someone you don't know. For others it's lets get Hillary in to have a woman, doesn't matter if she is the correct woman for what we face today she is a woman. Then we have the Corporate media change the poll numbers after Bernie Sanders showed he was the winner, okay can't have that, to showing Hillary is the winner. And now, that is daily the talk on the media, about how great Hillary is doing, she has her groove on and Bernie, well Bernie if he is mentioned at all, oh, he has maxed out he was never going to win, he isn't getting any higher in the polls, he is dropping in the polls.

All I can say, and I'm leaving it on this thread, on the internet, that maybe someday someone will see this, and I at least put it out there. If Hillary wins, it will be more of the same and TPP will go in and if lucky you'll get a few crumbs thrown your way. If the Republicans get in, we'll speed to a 3rd world Country, for most of us, our new standard of living will be what is and has been existing on Pine Ridge Reservation. Yes, average life is 48 to 50 years for male and woman. With programs being slashed, medical harder to obtain, a worse diet, our air, land, and waters being destroyed, we all can look forward to a lower life expectancy......one can't miss.

So in the words of the late Russell Means, he said, "Welcome my brothers and sisters to the reservation." So once TPP gets rolling along you more than understand what those words truly mean. I wished more people did pay attention, even when spoon fed to them on C2, too few take the time to truly learn to help stop the freight train that is rapidly coming to wipe them off the track.

Good luck, we are all going to need it. In the meantime fight like hell, fight like your life depended on it, because it does........

Thanks everyone, for some really good comments. I so wish everyone would slowly read this article, and really think about what it says. Hedges, as usual, doesn't candy-coat this deplorable trade deal.

Dandelion points out that a few of us have been spreading the news about the TPP for quite some time now. I started posting articles on it when I first found about it a few years ago. Dandelion's excellent comments just about say it all!

The entirely frightening aspects of the proposed TPP, TTIP and TISA are collected by Chris Hedges here in spades. I've read this a cpl times and learn more horrors each time. I always share the most important info with those personal connections, Care2 and fb friends who are driven to learn and act when necessary. It's the sheeple that we need to reach.

After watching the dem debate (and we could finally watch on CBS...I was a complainer about cable), I find the cowtowing to Hillary nauseating. A woman as POTUS would be great, but as Dandelion said, the proper woman. Folks don't seem to HEAR THE LIES. I'm tired of them. Bernie really brought a bit of the deceipt out in the air and was met with such bs bravado that Clinton was applauded for evading the topic!

We need big guns yelling Bernie's truths. Even those who like him don't feel he'll get the nomination. He needs more from his pr people and more of a positive spin from media. I'm telling myself that we have time because I believe in him and may the heavens help us if we don't "get him"...
