Who is saying so? What are the causes?

Yes, but I'm not heading for the hills yet. On the other hand, we do need to prepare for the worst.

We all must oppose this in any way we can.

Sleepy suggestible human beings with power-possessing egos imbued with hysteria are at fault.

We're basically already there really--what we see now will escalate at an alarming rate starting with the hordes of terrorists who reside on every corner of the planet. Frightening. thx Judy

Thanks folks. I wish this article didn't speak the truth so irrevocably. Those of us who are conscious can do our best to wake up those around us, and to try to embody peace any way we can, in our day-to-day lives.

Only respect instead of hatred can solve the problem

Yup, its coming. We've painted ourselves into a corner and with war we won't have to take the blame, its the other guys fault and that will be who ever is too weak to fight back and fend off the accusation.

We are on an unsustainable path on so many levels, that this will be the most convenient path to follow. to maintain some semblance of order. Too many folks competing for too few resources.

Social justice is at odds with power hungry and greedy individuals. Instant communications, video recordings and internet fact checking are a problem for our white collar criminals that had a hand in creating this mess. They will be working for less transparency and less governmental oversight. The pretense of war will give them cover.

War will muddy the waters and spark emotions to keep things relatively stable for the powerful and influential while the rest of us will be struggling for survival. They will cast themselves as virtuous patriots with the ability to triumph over our enemies. Confusion, anger and the struggle for scarce resources will consume the rest.

We are on an unsustainable path and change / adjustment won't be easy no matter. Many will acquiesce to war as the lessor of evils and in the hopes that in the kaos they might come out on top.

There are other alternatives but clear thought and focus have not yet won the day. War is clear, easy and primitive enough for everyone to understand, the alternatives are more complex and there will be more push back as each step will have those involved believing they are singled out and carrying the load for the others.

The unceasing ignorance of human beings is appalling. All one has to do is watch the melee caused by Black Friday violence and you shall see the potential for self-destruction within the human race.
