A $4.3 bil. natural-gas pipeline that will run through Michigan has been given the green light, sparking concerns about safety, the environment and the direction of the state's energy policy. The FERC has given the ET Rover Pipeline its stamp of approval.

Thank you Judy~ I feel quite ILL!!!

From part of your news!
"Parts of the pipeline go through forested areas which are habitat for migratory birds and a couple of invasive bat species, and then the pipeline is going to travel under or through some important wetland areas," she explained. "

instead of building more pipelines and destroy more precious and important environment in a needless way they should pay more attention on all the leaks of the older ones, repair them and clean up all the spills and pollutions they are responsible for - that would be also a way to create more jobs and make America great again... (only my personal opinion... )

Energy Transfer Partners certainly are busy these days. Like Kalliope says, I don't know why these oil companies don't direct some effort toward maintaining and repairing existing pipeline, unless it's because of the fact that they don't think they really have to care. They suffer little in the way of consequences when the environment is ruined as a result of their negligence, so what the hell. If they did do maintenance, though, this would create many jobs. But once again, what do they care?
