Will he try bringing in his Supreme Court pets to overturn this?
Or commit more Twitter attacks on Iran etc, to distract the media?

More fodder for news - I hope they'll dig their heels in and keep this on the books ...

And WHY are the tax payers having to pay for DT's representation in this??? (The Justice Department staff are paid by The People, and are supposed to defend The People's interests ...)

You raise some good points, Evelyn. We can count on Trump to try anything – reasonable or otherwise – to deflect or distract on this matter. As a part of the Constitution, it is high time that Emoluments be clearly defined. Otherwise, the door will be opened for a downward spiral into a complete corruption of the presidency that Donald Trump has been relentlessly trashing. His toadies at the Supreme Court are not likely to help matters any. Trump's actions have been so outrageous that I don't know if he can wiggle out of accountability. I think enough people will stay on track and persevere no matter what Trump does. The taxpayers absolutely should not pay for Trump's defense on this, but I don't know what way out of that might exist.

Evelyn, good point He should pay for his own damn defence, just like anyone else.. I wonder if all the money he has made at Maralago will count? And putting up various people at his hotels? The list goes on and on.

Just hope he doesn't slip out of this like he has with other financial doings. Trouble will be with his picks on Supreme Court.

A hopeful development! I hope crooked donald can be held fully accountable, given the valid points mentioned by Evelyn and others.
