Since her arrest in 2009, Mrs Bibi, a mother of five, has been held in the high-security District Jail Seikhupura, 22 miles north-west of Lahore. 'I am allowed to go out for only 30 minutes every day, and allowed to meet my family for one hour every

This is a travesty. She didn't do anything. And those who sided with her risked life to do it (and lost).

If allah was really real, it wouldn't matter whether anyone believed in it or said anything against it. The very fact they have to "avenge" their deity says it is fake.

"Vengeance is the Lord's", and not that we don't sometimes want to help, but we are called to do His work, not His job. The real G-d can strike you down if He feels it is necessary, without any assistance from any of His followers. Obviously that doesn't happen too frequently, so perhaps He is less easily offended than we are.

Such a sad story and so outrageous. Pakistan is one of the most oppressive intolerant countries and the UN rates it as the worst place in the world to be a woman, so it must be much harder to be a non-Muslim woman, as this poor persecuted woman's story shows, yet our western governments are giving millions to this land of terrorism and murder. What an insane world we live in.

As I recently commented, Bhutto, was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan 4 years ago. I don't know if the people of Pakistan hate women(they elected one), or hate Christians, and Hindus more? It all amounts to a terrible country.

I am pleased more people have noted this. Aasia Bibi has been totally overlooked by the "human rights" brigade and has suffered just for being Christian in a Muslim entity.

Those guys need to learn what it means to be tolerant. The scary thing is we are letting these people into our countries where we tolerate them but will they ever tolerate us??

We can only hope that amnesty is working on her behalf and the world takes notice of her plight. Our hearts go out to the women in this country. These allah chanting apologies for men treat their women like dogs.If there is a satan he is incarnate in these brutal intolerant.fanatics.

What this shows is that blasphemy is one of the most ridiculous crimes around, how can words hurt a God? Still, it is the pettiness of cowardly people who use this law to kill others, and notice it is always used on minorities. This is one of the reasons why Pakistan is starting to look more and more like a failed state.

we must support muslims they are peaceful. just ask them. of course they are taught to lie to anybody that isn't muslim. i am scared for anybody that isn't muslim in a muslim country. i'm scared for our country as more arrive. obama has had thousands brought in since he took office. women, and non-muslims should be very scared. we need to get out of that part of the world and let them go back to killing each other like they have done for thousands of years. let them rot. get the non-muslims out they are the ones in danger.

she spoke of her faith in Jesus, which the women were quick to label an insult to Mohammed. Moham, the spawn of Satan, whose belief was spread by the sword!

Noted. This is a tragedy. Why does every religion claim to be the only right thing to be ? More tolerance is needed.
