This hasn't completely eliminated the practice in China but it is a good first step, and a major one too. Now with a success in this area let us hope it continues to spread throughout China.

It is wonderful news...but the future of these poor cats+dogs is a grim one...and sadly there's thousands of these horror torture+killing houses throughout China. It's the most grotesque and cruel industry. Thx Dandelion

A question: What if these evil thugs just open up shop somewhere else? Can we track them? AND if so, how? Can't these evil humans be put down? I truly hope so.

A start..and very brave chinese to help the dogs and cats...then i watch more of the you tube footag,e one showing a man on a motor scooter dragging a frail dog behind him, having forced him to get up by ramming the scooter into the poor soul..title Stolen Dog for slaughter..and others, with terrible scenes,it's going to be a long road .The slaughter people will go underground probably.
I would find it impossible to film these horrors and not take action(and then get arrested!)Man really has sunk to the depths

This proves that when a few people decide to push for a change there are countless people willing to help get it done.Numbers equals success, never remain silent when you feel strongly about something because there are thousand possible hundreds of thousands of others that feel the same and are more than willing to support you.

Im so glad for this as I recieved an email about it and told Annie S who asked many of us to do an INTENTION experiment to help the dogs and cats in China...The next experiment starts wednesday for a week focusing on bears used for bile harvesting..
MY FOCUS is now on all animals but esp we must stop the slaughter of the billions in our country and the TRILLIONS across the globe used for food..pigs arent much different than dogs..all animals deserve better..
THX Dandelion!

There are good people everywhere. Now we Americans need to focus on stopping the horse slaughter houses from being opened up. We may not be able to stop the slaughter of pigs and cattle that has been going on for years (would be nice)...but we can nip the horse butchering in the bud before it starts.
cruelty towards animals is a social cancer that needs to be prevented.

This is a tremendous victory! So Glad to hear that over a million and a half dogs and cats lives will be spared! A huge thanks to these rescue groups and the courageous animal activists in China who made this all possible! It shows you that anything is possible when people get together and become united in their resolve to stop something so corrupt and evil! Hopefully, this will continue in China until this horrific trade is completely shut down! Thank you Dandelion for posting this momentous victory! I'm absolutely thrilled to hear this and I will go to bed with a much more optimistic feeling about our world and that people have the power to accomplish extraordinary feats when they are determined to!

I'm glad they closed these down, but I worry about what will happen to the cats & dogs they rescued. I pray they find homes where they will be loved - not tortured.

Sheryl G (359)

At least they have a chance, these one's will not end up in a meal, and no future animals will be brought here. I do hope they found homes too.
