Rescue of Stranded Transient Orca

Animals  (tags: orca, Squally Channel, British Columbia, Cetacea Lab, no tankers )

- 1260 days ago -
The orca was chasing a seal when she became stranded on the rocks in Squally Channel, British Columbia. The team at Cetacea Lab worked quickly to keep her wet. As the tide came up over 6 hours later, this whale was finally free.

I do like to think that there are more good people on earth than bad , and it is a prime examples of good peoples who will do their part to rescue our animal - brethren and give them another shot at life.
Anyway thank you Dandelion, for showing for reminding me what butterflies feel like :)

Also as they say at the end of the video, if the pipeline goes through to that area from the Canadian tar sands out of Alberta, there will be tankers constantly pulling in to take the substance away, very disrupting for those animals that are living there in freedom and quiet at this time. With so many ships and movement, potential of leaks, what happens then to these gorgeous animals?

Thanks Sheryl - This rescue is a wonderful thing and here in the Pacific NW and British Columbia we are aware of just how blessed we are to have them in our area.
