This is one time I could hug a "do nothing" Republican ......and one time I'm glad that this Republican will not give Obama what he President Obama wants the TPP.

Shared everywhere to spread awareness.
If it wasn't for CARE2 I wouldn't know anything about TPP.
Thanks Dandelion.

Noted. Thanks, Dandelion.
Seems like the key word here is "may." So, I guess we'll continue to keep a close eye on this. We have been lied to before. I have noticed on other issues that a statement is made indicating there will be no progress on that issue......then, it pops up and gets passed before we even knew what hit us. CISA just got passed, within the recent omnibus bill just prior to the Congressional holiday break. So, we need to continue to press our members of Congress not to pass the TPP.

I love it! I hope it will never be allowed.

CISA got passed because it was inserted into the budget, more or less at the last moment.

I have written to my two senators about the TPP and they both tell me that trade is so important to Washington state. They never really address my concerns.

What do they call a government ruled by the corporations? Reminds me of a Canadian television show called Contiuum.

This is politics as usual. Congress won't address any controversial issues until there is enough time for them to deny what they did.

I thought of that too Lois, and as with so many tricks of the trade it doesn't surprise me that CISA got passed over the holidays, crammed into a bill that wasn't it's prime mandate for privacy and surveillance. Is how it's being done over and over again. They have gotten away with it, the press ignores it, and so they continue to do what works. If one is proud of something you don't have to sneak it into law........So I hope this isn't to take our attention off of the TPP but then again, they know a lot of people are paying attention and they want a White House too. Time will tell.

Thank You Dandelion . there is absolutely nothing positive in that treaty , unless you are a corporation or big business . or another country . and what it does for the internet is criminal . any who all we can do is wait and see .

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Most of the so-called representatives we now have in place in Congress have the courage of a sea slug. If they can possibly punt what is sure to be an campaign-killing issue down the road, OF COURSE they will!
