Thanks JL A. Is what I was searching for. There is a lot on ISIS/Daesh but little on Boko Haram who is just as dangerous, bloodthirsty and terrible.

Jeez, another one!
The uploader has not made this video available in your country.

Argh!

Well, in respond, these "terrorist" organizations are only effective really when they have their funds and weapons, so freezing one and removing the other is the way forward.

Hmmm....strange, must be because it is a Vice video of their own and the copyrights.

Thanks Evelyn for taking the extra step in finding another link, is unfortunate they can't watch that one either.

Video was short and covered the start, ongoing, and how to rid oneself, and it wasn't with bombing them. Larsen said the "root" causes of the creation of Boko Haram must be addressed. It was addressing lack of economic opportunity and extreme poverty, education, ideology and certainly a government investing into it's people by reintegrating over a million displaced people within the Country. Certainly a government can do it's best to protect the people, but in must be in conjunction with these important steps. Requires Nations to invest in their people.......which little of that seems to be done anywhere these days.

Thanks, Dandelion. As a long-time visitor to many African countries....let me add this. (IT IS NOT A CRITICISM...it's an observation.) There are still deeply-rooted superstitions in Africa, and Boko Haram plays to those superstitions with its insistence on enslavement of women, mutilation of women, etc. Having the power to dominate thousands is very attractive to people who feel ''justified'' by religion. Nigeria and its neighbors MUST be given the resources to fight Boko Haram themselves.

This is where education and opportunity for all comes in. Poverty keeps conditions going where superstition or religion can have greater sway.

Doesn't matter what religion as Karl Marx said, religion is the opiate of the poor.....it can also be a tool of the ones who dominate which tends to be men most of the time.

Many Countries have done an injustice to African extracting it's resources while not insisting that the Nation it is obtaining it from share the wealth within it's Country for it's people. The few in leadership have taken in the monies, live well, while the vast majority suffer in poverty. In fact many of those corrupted leaders did not care what the others did to the citizens be they of the churches, mosques, or the local witch Doctor so long as it wasn't bothering them.

Now it's gone out of control.......so these Countries around the world best get going, these leaders can't all hide away, if they want a decent world to live in then they must truly be leaders for all and make life safer and better for all their people.

Thank You Dandelion . finally some one came up with info on a group that is as bad , if not worse than isis . and the fact that religion is involved doesn't help . neither does the fact that it is patriarchy . as long as women are trampled on and can not have their rightful place in the world as equales and religion flourishes i don't really see any hope for any kind of positive change ..

So true when he said the real roots of Boko Haram , I will say ISIS as well ,is economic disparity and crushing poverty. Where there is a will the arms dealers will always find a way to get their product in. Where there is a way the money will be found to buy the weapons. the only way to totally eliminate these groups is to counter the real or imagined need for direct action. Poverty elimination and education along with creating economic prospects is what will exterminate these groups. Bombs, guns, sanctions just won't do it
