Panama Papers: Corruption PSYOPS

The so called Panama Papers are sold to us as a vast leak chronicling the financial misdeeds of the rich and powerful. But is this really the case? Very insightful conversation with this. It also mentions Bernie Sanders in a positive way, not Clinton.

Like most mass media “leaks”, the information released has been carefully curated and controlled by the powers that be in order to serve a specific agenda . Under the guise of “investigative journalism”, pressure is put on a specific set of regimes and individuals. Meanwhile, the true elite, the one that takes part in the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg meetings, the CFR and so forth are exempt from the scandal.

While the masses are lead to think that they are learning the ugly truth about the world elite, they are actually being served a small part of the picture. What do you expect? The biggest scammers in the world happen to own the newspapers that “leaked” the Panama Papers.

Yeah what a coincidence that this focuses on Russia and China and mostly non-Western countries but no corrupt elites in the US?? In the little i've read about it, i've heard it said that US elites have easier ways to hide their money. That could be true but it seems pretty fishy. Anyway, that was a very interesting talk and thanks for posting Sheryl. If anything, hopefully all this will just do more to point out how much bull**it austerity for the poor is while the mega-rich take more and more.

Thanks D!

There's a mixed bag of topics from the 4 guests. Nothing new I haven't read during my own research into the papers. Imo, each guest once during his segment seemed to contradict his own own argument for why he thinks PP is a Hit job/Psyops. And there isn't one mention of the anonymous source using the pseudonym "John Doe" or the German newspaper Suddeutsche who got the docs in 2015 or any discussion of money transactions dating back to the 70's. No guest questioned why the source would go that far back in the first place or why an intelligence agency leak to discredit Putin/Enemies of USA would go that far back to show transactions from the 70's?? Why?

In today's world where nearly everything can be tracked or hacked, I'm waiting to hear why and how any Intell agency would leak 2.6 terabytes to 400 journalists at 107 media organizations in 76 countries and NOT expect the original intent of its leak to "get out of control" - as one guest phrased it. Unless it wasn't an Intell leak and the initial dump was/is meant to "get out of control".

Moreover, Why would an Intell agency leak so much to 400/107/76 and than continue to release more in the future, after seeing the reaction of this first release??

I don't have a dog in the PP race. I would like to see tax havens closed and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. But I have a-l-w-a-y-s wanted that - as far back as the 70's. If this is another Intell Pysops, okay, what else is new, if closing some tax havens and getting some of the rich to pay taxes here and abroad, than that would be great. Please do. I'm still hoping there is more to PP than tax havens. It's just a hope. I'll wait to see what the next batch has in it. If there are Americans listed, than I'll know at least I'm on the right track.

Riccardo posted this article last night. It's something to think about - PP or no PP:

The following is from the link you provided:

"To prevent any one person from being blamed for the leak, hundreds of news organizations are going to release further full details tonight (that’s what Ive heard, not sure how true it is) but the list apparently has thousands of people/companies on it."

Yes, we'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks Randy, and the story unfolds. In the end, I too would just like for those who owe taxes pay them and for the economies to work for everyone with the externalities taken into consideration. Global Disruption is real so they can build on mountains or in mountains to avoid the horrid storms. Will that be fun for them?

We need to find a way to shut down these taxhavens and get these people to pay their taxes.

I don't care why, it is the facts that matter to me. There are plenty of G20 plutocrats named. It is not cherry picking; this sounds like leftist paranoia. By the way, my politics are to the left of Bernie.

Noted. Thanks, Dandelion.
I think about a week has passed since the initial info came out, and the points made by the panelists were credible. After receiving terrabytes of info and having hundreds of journalists working on this for so many, many months, it does seem that there really should have been much more to this so far.
As was stated by one of the panelists: "Divert, Deflect, Deceive & Deny" is the way matters like this have been handled by the Elites for some time.

The problem with most of the U.S. public is they get all riled up over some scandal, but then get distracted by sports or celebrity gossip or half-naked chicks touting beer. Our leaders know this, and they have worked hard to make sure we are easy to distract. Fortunately, enough of us are "good soil" that yields twentyfold and fiftyfold and a hundredfold. As Margaret Mead pointed out, a small group of thoughtful, committed people are all you need to change the world.

Thx sheryl-and I am pleasedtosee the source you've linked! Been a regular at Crosstalk, love it and have been psting in the past stories by Esbobar as well, a great mind that guy!
But here's an article on the Panama Papers I recommend!
* *
"In fact, much of the narrative in the ensuing stories does not come from Mossack Fonseca data, but is more accurately a data merge. News organisations merge the shell company owners with clip files – gossip, political unpopularity, and past misdeeds combined with a shell company equal a seeming new revelation."
"Nobody knows who, nobody knows why – and, indeed, with the documents themselves protected from view (the ICIJ says they won't make them public), nobody knows what."
And also do check out who are the sponsors of that "Center for Public Integrity"- you'll meet old familiar names. ;-)

it’s perfectly legally in most countries, including in the United States. What is illegal, however, is using offshore trusts to hide assets from known creditors or for evading taxation

I agree with others, that we need to find a way to stop all of this illegal crap. No "Ifs or Buts" what-so-ever, it must STOP. Thanks Dandelion
