The Dangers of Climate Change Are Not Coming They Are Already Here

Environment  (tags: climate disruption, Professor Chris Williams, US Dept. of Defense, sea level rise, floods, ecological changes, food chain )

Professor Chris Williams says even the U.S. Department of Defense is speaking of climate change in the present tense. Under the Obama Administration more fossil fuels were pumped out, Hillary said she'll do the same, Republicans still in denial.

Noted. Thanks, Dandelion.
Yes, it is all "political." I believe the politics can change only if we get Big Money out of campaigns because money continues to corrupt. We need a real leader who is non-corruptible to the loudest Corporate dirty fossil fuel voices......someone who will stand up to them and say "no." Also, someone who cannot be intimidated by Party Politics.

Keep speaking out Pam and don't vote in people who are not truly "green" we don't have time to waste on the candidates not moving away from fossil fuels. Neither major Presidential Candidate is, Republicans deny it is happening and Hillary is surrounding herself with the Pro Fossil Fuel People so no change there Pro TPP Pro KXL Pro Fracking Politician To Head Hillarys Transistion Team

Actions not words speak a lot and she has no intention to move quickly away from fossil fuels and Obama has more fracking and drilling going on as we export it around the world. We don't help our planet if we do not keep it in the ground. People must stop voting for these people and vote in the Green Candidates or others who have a good track record on environmental issues.

Why have we waited so long to stop listening to the deniers and do more to avoid the dramatic climate changes we are experiencing now .,

I couldn't watch the entire video due to too few bytes, I guess. The real solution in order to get people serious about this is to join forces with the working class. Too many people think (correctly) they will be left with no jobs. In capitalism, that's true. In a true socialist state all harmful activities would be curbed down or stopped altogether and whatever needs to be rearranged so that people can meet their needs, the real ones, would be worked out by the state in transition to a future full communist society. The very rich suck our blood but it's the mass of the people who really allow it o happen because they fear any change would mean less for them and the rich will find a way out.

The frightening reality of the climate changing and not even being recognized by some individuals, just shocks me. We have No Time to spare and all countries better be on board to save our planet, what will it take??? Thank You So Much Sheryl!!!~~~

The weather as it is manifesting around my area, that is North West Yorkshire in England, is more erratic than it's ever been in my adult lifetime, so since the 1980s.

We've been officially in Summer for about a month, and we've seen the odd say, here and there, with a few hours of sunshine. Rarely do we get completely clear blue skies. We get clouds. As I type this, it's quite lovely, with lots of clouds but some blue sky, and it's quite warm. Overnight it poured down. Yesterday, we had torrential rain in fits and starts. We've had high winds as well.

So, extremely inconsistent, erratic.

It's happening each and every day. I can tell the difference in the weather in my part of the Pacific NW from when I moved here in 1990 and today. We get much less rain and our summers are Much warmer.

I'll send you the link Liliana to the whistleblowers......I've posted another two stories so it archives onto previous page. But I'll send the link to you direct.

I moved to Florida in 1999 and the weather from then to now is different. Our summer temperatures are here sooner and stay longer so we have more time now in the 90+F area, we use to have a couple months of actually cool even cold days, I was glad I had brought my New England coat with me when I first moved here. I recall my Mother visiting in 2001 complaining how cold she was "I thought this was Florida" I said it is but it is also winter. Last year I only had to turn the heat on is just warm all the time and hotter for longer.

We are from all areas around the world and all of us are noticing changes. I was from New England and I know friends who remain back there say, it's not like it use to be in the past.

Noted with thanks Dandelion. Here in New Hampshire, New England, USA--we've had the driest year on record. I can back that up--as I have my great-grandfather's logs, grandfather's, mother's--that all kept track of weather--going back to pre-Civil War days. Everyone, the world over is experiencing dramatic climate change, but no political changes---except for more overtly steamrolling over what's left of their roost.

Sheryl G (360)

Got that one. Donald is a Climate denier and Hillary states she'll do similar to President Obama. Obama has opened more coastline to drilling, started up our nuclear energy program again after 30+ years of no new to be opened, and been weak in all other areas of the environment. Oh he made the waters off of New England a reserve - how nice; almost election time.
