Thanks Dandelion--it does carry potential for damage control yet suggests the Party is not yet ready to stop catering to the destructive neocon and Wall Street policies the voters reject.

Glad to see Bernie in his new spot.
But, we're going to have to keep an eye on the Third Way Dems. Real nice of Schumer to offer to work with the Republicans (she said snidely)----esp. since the Reps vowed to fight Obama every inch of the way since Day One. What are the Dems thinking?!

I signed the Chuck Schumer petition earlier. We cannot let Trump get away with any shenanigans. Meanwhile, we need to gear up for the 2018 election and get some real progressive candidates to turn red seats to blue. Only a political bloodbath will give us any hope. Meanwhile, hang on and try to enjoy the ride.

Thanks for posting, Dandelion! And thanks to JL A. for the link to "Tell Chuck Schumer: No Compromise with Trump." Schumer is a dangerously neo-liberal loose cannon!

I'm not sure what to think of Elizabeth Warren anymore. Other than the financial industry, I have yet to hear her come out in support of human rights. She has gotten some of her funds from corporate interests. I think that Bernie Sanders was given this leadership role to try and draw in the many who left him after he failed to fight for the nomination.

In 2005, Harry Belafonte, after being a life long Democrat, was feeling that the Democrat Party should be allowed to self-destruct. Why to people keep trying to hold on to something that should be allowed to fall apart? This is much like an abused spouse trying to hold onto an abusive husband or wife.

Jimmy Dore of The Jimmy Dore Show YouTube channel has a couple of videos:

I will no longer sign petitions telling the Democrats to not compromise with a Republlican President. Our President who is a Democrat; but, comes off as a Republican did a ton of compromising with Republicans, even during the first two years of his administration when he had both a Democrat Senate and House.

Since Donald Trump has never been President of the US before, he doesn't have a history of dropping bombs in 7 different countries. He's never threatened Russia. He may not be any better than George W. Bush; but, I think he is much smarter.

I think the Democrats should be willing to compromise when there is room to compromise.

Obama has gotten away with so much, that if he had been a Republican President, doing the exact same things, Congress would have fought him all the way. Wake up Americans. Just because our next President is a Republican does not mean that it will be the end of the world. But, keep a watch on him and his Congress. I guess that's one thing good about having Trump instead of Clinton as President.

Elizabeth Warren was my senator in MA and now I live in Vermont, the home of Bernie. I think she is fantastic when it does to people things-fighting big corporations, etc. but I confess I wish she would like to heat her mention climate change and I sure wish there was a politician who would talk about animals-those on factory farms wildlife, etc. but I guess politicians don't want to do that as animals are considered second class citizens. I am glad these tow are leading though. I love getting mail from Bernie when I sign petitions even though he doesn't know me from a hole in the wall.

Donna thanks for the video links. I watch Tommy Dore and I must say I agree with a lot of what he says. If the Democratic Establishment only throws out a few crumbs, as with the recent picks on Bernie Sanders And Elizabeth Warren Win Senate Leadership Posts this will not suffice at this time. Progressives are so done, the people are over it with the Democrats screwing them over. Bad enough the Republicans were doing their best but then we have had no help with either Party for so long.

So many in the Hillary crowd are still in denial so it will be seen what comes out of this, but I agree with Tommy, perhaps with the face of Donald Trump on their TV screens they'll mobilize and become the Party of the New Deal for the 21st Century. Right now all I see is no deal - I know where I stand and more of us are standing in that corner all the time.
