As the first 100 days of the plutocratic and militaristic Trump administration draw to a close, one truth has been crystal clear; the Democratic party lacks the vision, discipline and leadership to guide progressives in these turbulent times.

So true and content on the Zero Hour would add that they do not yet understand their allegiance to corporate donors instead of the people is the recipe and foundation of failure which will persist until they cut that umbilical cord preventing their success. Thanks Dandelion

Either the Democrats get their s**t together, or a viable new party arises (possibly from the Democrats' ashes), or this country is going straight into the crapper. Fortunately, the Common People have delivered anything but disappointment. All the marches, protests, demonstration, activism, post cards, petitions and rallies have proven that a long-asleep giant has awakened. And it's not fully awake yet.

Agree with Freya that they need to get their act together. Disgusting job so far. Thanks Dandelion

"The neoliberal vision of the Democratic party has run its course. The corporate wing has made it clear that the populist wing has little power or place in its future."
They haven't learned anything since the election and it will probably be a long time before they do.

JL A & Freya deliver, right on.

Opportunity is wide open for another political party to step into the void left by two defunct, delinquent, bankrupt and obsolete parties and capture the reawakened American spirit. The backbone of America is realizing that neither party represents their interests and so good bye and fare thee well.

Okay, there is something here, I must admit, much as I can not stand the idea of yet again splitting the democratic vote.
Liz warren, on Bill Maher's show, as per TomCat's recent posting, shows the fire needed, as Bernie has, to get something done.
Is that Pelosi's picture at the top of the article? I've hd no use for her ever since she gave Bush, and Cheney "Carte Blanche" after 9/11. She, and Debie Wasserman Schultz blew it for 2016!!!! Now, I've read, she may have some real competition in the next primary season...GOOD!
