The presidents tweets were in response to several emotional pleas from San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz, who asked the government to provide more aid and less paperwork to the hurricane-wretched island.

From the article "Many people were shocked at the president’s remark, especially since he suggested Puerto Ricans ― a majority of whom are still without power and drinking water, according to the Defense Department ― weren’t putting in enough effort to help themselves."

Anyone with a beating heart should be shocked that he'd say such a thing while people after people went through such a horrific storm not that long ago. People are suffering in the heat with no cool place to go to, they are drinking water from streams, many have no food of any sort, people are sleeping in the elements, many are dying without their medications - while he plays golf.

That dandiprat who conned his way into the Oval Office is arguably the biggest embarrassment to this country in history. He snivels that the people in Puerto Rico want things done for them, when he has lived his entire life in the lap of luxury, pampered and coddled like a lap dog, insulated from reality and his own incompetence.

Keep rubbing it in, Dandelion. It seems that some folks have emotional blindness re the POTUS. And, as Kay M. shares, the man gives us license to swear because his behavior is so vile to the Caring community. While so many of us pray for his removal, we're also quite leery of the VP, Pence, who's manners are at least calmer, but, perhaps his lack of compassion could be even more dangerous to our nation's cherished freedoms and goals of fair-play and compassion. I agree that this photo speaks volumes of the Trumpelstiltskin psychology. His goal is to 'reign' over people, and decide what life they are allowed under his tyranny of power. He sees his life above all others, and if they're in trouble, he blames the victim, - again, and again, and again. He has no mercy. He has no heart. He has only vengeance, retaliation, and payback as his response to anyone who does not bow to his reign. He is completely Un-American! His soul is empty unless you offer him gold as a filler, and he will never be fulfilled. God help us All. God help those in need in Puerto Rico! May our kinder angels guide us out of this horrific mess! Thanks, Dandelion~

David, yes, that photo is ironic, but Trump is such a sociopath he wouldn't see it. He has no conscience whatever , and no awareness of how appalling his actions are. Surely only a died in the wool racist could possibly support him by agreeing with his remarks.

More exemplary leadership from President Cheese Doodle. Time to hold our congressional representatives responsible for the reckless ongoings in the White House.

How low can Trump go? I'm afraid to see. I'm also cringing in anticipation of what he is going to say or do when he visits Puerto Rico later today. So help me, I hope he does not try to insult Mayor Cruz any more! Her conduct has been exemplary, and her patience extended way beyond anything Trump deserves.

I strongly recommend watching this report from Puerto Rico A Challenge to Emergency Services and Journalists About What Is Happening in Puerto Rico (VIDEO)
Repetitive - she's exhausted - but an important message. She clearly has some background in logistics in difficult situations (military? She does stress that she's there as an ordinary civilian ...)

WTF did DT think he was doing during his visit? Throwing paper towels into the crowd? I saw a clip where a woman said she thought he was just there "for a show" - pretty accurate summary.

DT is making America grate - intolerably.

I saw that clip of him throwing paper towel rolls. Looks like something that is done at some rock concert where they toss out T-shirts.

A day when Trump does not demonstrate he is nothing more than a Turd wrapped in the skin of an old white man is a rare thing and the day it happens Satan will be going to work on skates.
