On July 29, Monsanto scored a preliminary victory, winning a Senate "test vote" on a bill known as the DARK Act that Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Pat Roberts and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow introduced to Deny Americans the Right to Know about...

To my way of thinking, Monsanto is so corrupt anything they are in support of has to be bad. Anytime congress is passing a law to make it possible for companies LIKE Monsanto to hide anything you KNOW it is going to turn out badly for the general population. I was married to a small family farmer. He did NOT want to plant GMO seeds but it got harder and harder and more expensive to get no modified seed. He had to break down and now plants them. That or go under. He now has super weeds and is being forced to consider using a Monsanto herbicide which is extremely costly but is the only thing that will kill Round Up resistant super weeds. These weeds would not exist if not for Monsanto and I believe it was Monsanto's plan all along as profits from the sale of Round Up were beginning to flat line. They have now created an infinite profit stream. Devious money grubbing bastards!

Wrote to both of my senators to let them know how disgusted I am with their votes so far... the only way to deal with this is to vote out those who have sold their souls to the devil.

Thanks Kathy. Evil and a part of the 1% of elitist global controllers who steamroll their genocidal machinery over the middleclass on down. The 1% need the space you're in and what's left of Earth's resources. They are the self-designated 'chosen few".

Hillary is backed by this--so--in order to have my vote count, if Bernie isn't on the docket, I'll cast my vote for Dr. Jill Stein of The Green Party. At the least, it will elevate and give energy to the party. At the most, she and Bernie admire each other and would work together, being Earth's salvation.

Both of my Senators voted YES today...Phoned each and told them of the prospects of re-election if they keep betraying their constituents. Thanx Kathy.

I live in the Highlands of Scotland and have, a few year's ago, been to meetings with Monsanto representatives as they had paid a local farmer to plant G.M. crops. They didn't care about local opinion and were arrogant and dismissive. We did not want G.M. here and we did not want their poisonous weed-killer which we knew was seeping into the underground springs which led to a bay where we have porpoises and dolphins.
A camp was set up by the field and we sat and watched as birds picked up the purple seed pellets. We did scare them off as much as we could but knew that the purple covering contained traces of arsenic and it broke our hearts.
The farmer would come to the camp periodically but he had been given his payout so he didn't care. The people who organised the camp were wonderful and since then we have had no more GM. here that we are aware of!
Monsanto is an evil company. They don't care about ecology or the environment only profit. People in 3rd world countries who have G.M. cannot collect seed from the crops because they do not produce seed so that means they have to buy more seed from Monsanto and they are also made to buy the lethal weedkillers which kill the birds and insects. Monsanto representatives are con men with no morals and no conscience. All governments who buy and support Monsanto are culpable and as long as they take kick-backs from this revolting company the more they are supporting the destruction of ecosystems and putting our planet even more at risk. Shame on them all.

Noted. Many thanks for posting, Kathy.

Yes, this is the chart I saw earlier. I really hope that everyone clicks and takes a good, long look.

16 Dems voted "Yes." And, check out all the hundreds of thousands of dollars (some made over $1 Million), they took.
I also see that a few Republicans crossed the aisle to vote with Dems. Good for them.
But, it wasn't even really "crossing the aisle" because this was introduced by both a Rep. and a Dem.---so, it's a bipartisan bill.
MacCaskill needs to lose her job over this....and so do all the Dems that voted "Yes."

The funny thing I've begun to notice is that after Dems are traitorous by voting for a bill like this, very soon after, they are 'tooting their own horn' over some other bill that is high-profile that they are voting for or against and is popular with their base.;
Such is our bi-polar Congress. Heavy sigh!

Both of the senators who supposedly represent me voted "yes". I didn't vote for them. I left messages on their Facebook pages as was suggested in an email I received today. One of them is the lazy, stupid Marco Rubio. The other one is Bill Nelson, a good old boy "democrat". The corruption in our government is out of control. There are too many people who don't care to educate themselves and are allowing this sh*t to happen.
