I am so pleased by this news. Israel's brutal blockage has costs lives and caused the starvation of tiny babies.

Perhaps we should also consider stopping the aid to the Palestinians. I mean it would only be fair to not take sides of any kind with our aid. It would however have little affect on Israel though because most of what they get from us in none aid goods, supplies and equipment they pay for. The Palestinians on the other hand are totally dependent on the rest of the world for everything they get.

@ Ralph,

What aid to Palestinians? Or do you mean the puppets installed by the USA and blessed by Israel who take the little "bribes" and use it for their lavish lives while their people starve to death?

Israel pays NOTHING for what we give them - and, get this, we're charged on the interest on the loans we guarantee them. To date, over $30 billion plus in aid was given to Israel... in return, they spy on us, plot against us, and when they commit a crime here, they escape quickly to Israel.. and we just look the other way!

If the U.S. decline, it is because Israel has led to the U.S. down. No one hates us for our freedom. Those who hate us, hate us for what Israel is doing with our support. Israel is the cause of terrorism in the world. Israel is a false friend backstabbing U.S. taxpayers stabbing in the back with the frequency of a serial murderer. If you love Israel, you must hate the United States.

There is no doubt that Israel is 99% responsible for the ugly image of USA at least in the Arab and Islamic countries because of the military, economic and political support of USA to Israel. This of course is one main reason of what is so called " terrorism ". The Zionist lobbies in USA specially AIPAC is,sorry to say, control the US congress.Could the Americans stand beside the rights of Palestinian be a beginning of freeing America from the control of Zionism ?

Abdessalam Diab (145)
Monday June 21, 2010, 1:06 am
If USA is giving few million dollars to the PNA,this is nothing compared with what the Zionist entity is getting.Don't forget that USA in particular and the west in general are responsible for the inhuman life of the Palestinians since the creation of the Zionist entity in 1948 and even before when they gave this part of Palestine to the Jews instead of securing the Jews in their own countries.

"Stopping the aid to the Palestinians?"

"The facts are clear: 4 out of 5 Gazans rely on food aid. Anemia for children under the age of 5 is estimated at 48%. Clean water is scarce (95% of Gaza's water fails World Health Organization standards) because spare parts to fix the sewage system aren't allowed in.

Today, Gaza's population relies on less than a quarter of the imported supplies it received before the blockade. [2] Israel and the cause of peace are not served by 1.5 million increasingly hungry, dispirited, and angry people."
Isaac Luria

......... So stopping the aid to the Palestinians means supporting and participating in the ongoing GENOCIDE.

No, thanks.

The acquisition of natural resources strategy, and the economic blockade carried by the Zionists intended to starve the Palestinian people and destroy their economy, to force them to leave their land and the remaining of the population to be fully dependent on the foreign aids, that in the Zionists imagination will empty Palestine from its original population and make it easy to them to dominate the land and create their Jewish State.

Palestine is full of resources and the Palestinians have a creative mind, they knew how to blued factories, how to manage economics, how to plant, how to do everything. Those peoples have a dignity, they don’t ask for aid from anyone, they are self dependent.

All they want, to let them live free and safe in their State.

Thanks a lot for those peoples who work as much as they can to satisfy this noble aim.

Pete O. Kind of hard to run a free market when you are occupied and blocked off As for aid, Israel gets plenty of aid, especially from the US. They receive aid above the military aid, they receive economic aid and often forgiven loans and loan guarantees. Considering their economy is comparable to many European countries, and the West Bank and Gaza virtually have no economy, nor will have one as long as it is occupied . The barrier wall in the West Bank cuts off villages from the rest of the world making it a little difficulty to export their goods. When they want to boycott the settlers goods and services, God forbid. How hypocritical. Question to Ralph and Pete, should the Palestinian people be occupied by Israel forever.? Also, Israel has failed to provide for the land they are occupying under International Law. Dov Weinglass's quote on "putting the Palestinians on a diet" just confirms that they do what every one else says.

Abdessalam, perhaps I missed it, but you seem to have been away, and, if so, I hope your time away was something enjoyable.

Even though you and I disagree 75% of the time, I appreciate that you are a gentleman and always put forth your opinions logically, succinctly, and courteously, unlike many of the long-winded tirades on both sides posted by others, and it is always good to have input from sensible people close to the scene.

well I would hope not ATW, and if they are really 17 yrs old they weren't even around then(shakespeare's profile), seems like an old reactivated profile thou aka troll, and what an awful thing to think, although that is what they are in perpetual fear of the israelis and teach their children and bring them up in fear and many hate.. anyone who stands up to the israeli government is a hero to me, with the exclusion of genocice and bombing/killing civilians either side which both do, the israeli's kill far more palestinians, b'testeem keeps numbers and of assistantions by israel or tries,

I believe in self defense even Gandhi did for Palestinians, I know israeli's of which several just got thrown in jail again for standing up to their government and for palestinian rights.

These are peaceful protesters, there were just so many of them they created a blockade"grin"

What a lovely sight to see, people taking action at last to help the victims in Palestine. Israel does not need aid from anyone outside their already rich and successful country. I want to see more of this hitting the headlines so's people like me can do more. However we are restricted by 'media' reports' and information of this kind is impossible to find, thank you for posting this video. The anti-protesters always say the same things, name -call but produce very little in the way of facts to substantiate their claims, is it because their story doesn't wash with more informed groups ? Until those of us who truly believe in human rights for everyone are listened to in ALL parts of the world and favouritism abandoned, nothing will get done and we will by our silence share the blood of victims. Is this what you want ? it is already a one-sided affair and getting worse not better, because of blockades and barriers, walls and blackout news coverage. Whilst one child in Palestine is being injured we should act to stop it, there are thousands if not millions of lives at stake here. Viva la Palestinia !!!!

Support for either side in this stupid conflict is merely perpetuating the problem. Sooner or later Israelis and Palestininians must live together and to offer encouragement to either side damages any chance of peace..

Pete, if Hamas would not be at war with Israel, there would be no siege. There is no seige of the West Bank. The only difference is that Gaza is ruled by Hamas, openly calling for destruction of Israel by military means.
Obviously, Israel is in full rights to defend itself. The blockade is perfectly legal, though unpopular.

I am not surprised at another Palestinian PR show at the port, they are really good at it. Hundreds of thousands of Muslim Uzbeks were just now expelled from their homeland, and nobody hears about them, and nobody boycotts anything. But something against Israel, even so short-termed and hardly noticeable makes it into big news.

Who said the Media is controlled by Zionlists? Then it must be Zionists very sympathetic to Palestinian cause and hating Israel quite a bit. LOL.

Why then Bob, has there been an occupation for 43 years? There was no Hamas then. Have you read any real books about the conflict that are historically based and no, A Case for Israel doesn't count nor does From Time Memorial. Maybe something like Scars of War, Wounds of Peace or Defending the Holy Land, A Critical Analysis of Israel's Security?

Patricia Herrick (54)

Bob, sounds to me like you've read too much propaganda from our own MSM, and our own government. Which media are you referring to when you state "Zionists sympathetic to Palestinian cause?" I am an avid reader of various media and can see very little support for any Palestinian cause. Oh yeah, I don't watch Fox. If Israel commits atrocities against Palestinians, it seems to be excused by the fact that Palestine fires rockets. Did you ever wonder why they fire rockets? I find very little fault with fighting an occupier of one's land.

Hammas goal is the end of occupation not war with israel or anything any Individual has said such as wiping anybody of the map or pushing anybody into the sea ect ect. I think it is important if we wish to help find an answer to promote what the true goals are. Hammas wish for the return to the 67 boundaries as this was the last offical un divisiononal attempt. The difficulties persuing this is israe's coninual building of needless settlements where people already have homes. you mentioned regarding other arabic states maintianing people in camps i agree it is time the Arab states started looking after their brothers and sisters rather than persuing westeren self eating ways of governance and ebing missled into worshiping golden calfs

The only peoples who can bring a lasting solution to this problem are the Israelis and the Palestinians themselves; anybody interfering on either side is exacerbating the conflict and the armaments barons are rubbing their hands with glee. Stop meddling. Desist from offering encouragement to either warring faction. It is inevitable that innocents will suffer until peace is attained. For outsiders to intrude postpones that day.

I may not agree 100% to what yous said. The conflict here is between a nuclear power ( Israel ) which has a racist trend and people whose land had been stolen ,given to strangers and the rest of it is occupied by this nuclear power. The may be able to settle the dispute if they are equal in power. In their case, without the interference of the international community,Israel will never end the occupation. It will swallow more land and drive the Palestinians for the third time from their homes,land,farms,properties....etc.to build more settlements and get rid of the real owners of Palestine for ever.
