It would seem by this article that some forms of Green Vacations are not so good for the environment as some might believe.

odd definition: "travel to pristine areas meant to avoid the damaging impact of traditional tourism'
Isn't ecotour of Alaska (use state ferry and your own feet, spend several days at a cabin near a beach, take time to photograph sunrise and sunset) better than a floating hotel called a cruise ship where you are on schedule, in a crowd, and entertained with music, food, pools, shows?

Tent Camping is more my style than a luxury hotel anyway.
