Somewhere in the long list of topics that are relevant to astrobiology is the question of âEUR~intelligenceâEUR(TM). Is human-like, technological intelligence likely to be common across the universe?

I'm in the belief that it not only exists but is widespread--just my opinion. Thx Darren

The author quotes Stephen Hawking (my favorite genius) often
throughout this article. Hawking's theories, above all else, are
the most accurate on this issue. In the end, the author still draws
no conclusion to this conundrum.
Thank you Darren for posting :)

Most everything "depends." I've been told that, in property-casualty insurance (car and home), the answer to EVERY question is "It depends." It's probably equally true in life and health

The way things are moving, we'll all be cyborgs and plugged into the grid. We'll all be part of the hive mind that will also be plugged into an AI.

Noted. Thanks for posting this very interesting article, Darren. Also interesting to watch so much of science-fiction become "science-fact."

Of course, it's dangerous; it's created by flawed human beings, ergo, it's very very dangerous.
