The truth is that thousands of factors have influenced presidents in their decision-making, and none of them has been totally for or against the environment.

Interestin list of presidents, but no surprises.

The weird thing about that site was the side bar purporting to list colleges granting degrees in environmental science, but no matter what state you click (even California, fer cryin' out loud), you get advertisements for the same three sleazy for-profit no-name "distance learning" businesses.

Lyndon Johnson is greatly underestimated because of the Vietnam war, such a shame.

James Watts. He was the slap up side my head that really got me involved in Environmental activities. I didn't know before that that anyone could be so evil. It's a shame that business always makes it seem as if it's either them or us. Great list! Thanks Anna! Noted.

More so than presidents were the Interior Secretaries and heads of the EPA. The list of presidents doesn't surprise me. The senators are worse. For example, John McCain claims to be pro-environment but his voting record is very, very anti-enviroment.
