In a speech at the conference, Mexican President Felipe Calderon criticized what he called "inconsistencies" and "incongruencies" in the fight against drugs, among the availability of weapons.

"A restrictive policy against drugs cannot succeed if (restrictions on) the weapons market are loosened," he said.

Well, yeah. That's right. So, let's save alot of tax dollars by ending the war on drugs. Let's first start out by legalizing Marijuana. Most excellent. End some violence right there, and generate some revenue.

Noted, this country has wasted a lot of money on the war on drugs for years that could have been spent for something that would help people instead of filling up the prisons for non violent crimes.

Probably they are competing with the CIA drug cartels.

Yeah well Uncle Sam is the NUMBER ONE JOHN for sex trafficking of adults and CHILDREN - as well as being way up there as the major customer for all DRUGS like these. Speaking as a retired chemical-dependency counselor active in marijuana/drug legalization initiatives I say that as long as the CIA/PENTAGON is running our drug policy in order to stay in power and bring big profits to USA ARMS-MANUFACTURERS/ARMS-DEALERS/WAR-PROFITEERS then drug trafficking will be just one item on the list of "forbidden"/profitable items that continue to be an excuse for Uncle Sam to spread his genocidal psychopathic killing machine throughout the globe. DOWN WITH WAR-MONGERING CRAPITALISM.

"Colombia's leftist rebels and the Taliban are among the world's largest drug-trafficking organizations."
BS! Our troops are guarding poppy fields in Afghanistan, so that the world's Largest drug traffic organization, (CIA), can continue making huge profits.

I agree with Robert Orlando. Why else is America sending more and more
Troops to Afghanistan??? To guard the Elites American Interests;

BTW the Talibans are too busy fighting to Protect their families,
Little children's and
Their Own lives from the VIOLENT ATTACKS and Daily BOMBINGS from
The american soldiers.

Noted, and it is real. It has been largely know that drug trafficking is one of the most profitable sources and these people do need the money to keep going. So guess who sponsors civil wars and terrorism, drug addicts.
