If you've played any of the games below, chances are you know all too well how brutal things can get. And if not, well, be warned: some of these are pretty gruesome. Play at your own risk, and not while eating.

I have to admit it feels awesome in Smackdown Vs. Raw to beat up your opponent on the face or head until he starts bleeding all over the floor.

These children are violent without these games why make them more violent I just don't get it.

I have another question:

WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?

Or do they CARE!!!

I find it disturbing that Children even wish to play these games. They are so violent it is frightening. It is no wonder if this is the kind of games & movies that the younger generation is "enjoying" that things are as bad as they are now. I thank God that I grew up in simpler & gentler times, when all we had to entertain us were books & our own imaginations, & these types of scenarios were the stuff of bad nightmares. Not even seen on TV after the watershed.

Some games should be restricted. They can be a bad influence on kids.
But there are a lot of great video games for people of all ages...like Wii.

Only played 7 of the games on the list and thoroughly recommend Fallout 3 (pretty much unlimited game play), Postal (stupid, funny and fun) and Mortal Combat (simply for the fatality cut scenes). Sadly many of these games are banned in Australia because of the government not allowing an R+18 rating in games.

This is a kind of game I'd never buy. The world is too violent, with wars, people hating, etc.. Why more violence?

I remember being HORRIFIED as my then 11 year old son laughed at a man being shot to death by police on a Reality TV show about 15 years ago. When I asked questions, I learned that he was "just so used to death on TV that it's not a big deal." Why bother objecting to content of a game that has to be BOUGHT, when this kind of violence enters every home, every day in America? Our solution was to disconnect the cable for a year. By the time it went back on, he had found better things to do.

It seems most boys/men play these gamees on a daily bases,.. no wonder we have so many killings in our world today, I think that the younger children think you can kill some one and then bring them back with a health pack, but it does not happen in real life..I for one don't like any of those games....Children need to get outside more, run and play...

dont play the games then its so simple
a question how come you pick theese games if you dont like them?
and theese rnt the most violent ones goriest maybe but i wonder if doom3 or perhaps unreal tournament shuldnt be in here theyr also violent games and also its not REAL!!!
hiw come you complain about a game thats set after a nuclear war?
sorry fer lond winding reply but i get so tired of ppl playing theese games and then complaining your not forced to play them you picked up those games by your own free will or do you mean the publishers "forced" you to buy them?
i get so tired of this whining on games and always picking up the xtremes when theese games r a minority but then again headlines like theese always sells papers sensationalism and morale panic i call it. lets censor the news as well they can be equally gory
sporry fr rambling like this but i get so tired of sensationalistic articles like this its like the start of intrnet when all articles always said tht all pages here were either porn or drugs or bomb making

Noted - I personally have only played the Grand Theft Auto out of this list - but I am not a child and can tell the difference between real life and a game. Most of these games have an age rating I would assume and shouldn't be in the hands of children anyways. JMHO ..

Totally not interested in any of the games, but I do believe if adults make a choice to purchase for themselves they should take steps keep them away from children.

Well, I've naturally played Mortal Kombat as a young teen, but the older version, it was cool, playing with my best friends. I've also played Resident Evil 4 and it indeed IS difficult to play since it's a real horror, like the Silent Hill series... Anyway, I am a gamer, but a careful gamer, I'm not playing just any game... oh, also Dead Space is as well very horrific.. but there was a sense of heaviness in it, which I actually liked...

Of all time? Is time over, and then there does not come anything anymore? People like to play these games because thy enjoy killing and torturing.

There is nothing else behind.

I had some twisted fun with the old Doom game where the codes were easilly hackable. I had the rockets shooting out chickens, turned the toxic explosive cans into beer cans and turned the monsters into Barneys. Most of us thought it was great fun, but some of my relatives young children really didn't like to see Barney getting blown to smithereens while the soundtrack played "Super de duper, I got blown to poopers".

Likewise, with Command and Conquer I had the watercraft turned into Jet Skis which could also travel on land, had the newly created troops shown emerging from brothels instead of tents and made the hero's bullets into atomic bombs. Lost a few friendly troops with those bullets, but boy did the hero ever reign supreme . . .

Ii know, I know - shame on me. But sometimes the devil just jumps in my body and you don't know what is liable to happen.

I have played some of them and believe they don't have more violence than the news, although Manhuny is very nasty and cruel. I really like Silent Hill which is not listed. Having said that, it's well documented the psychological impact of violent games which is worst than TV or movies but we can't ask to have games banned.
