I met her on a flight from DC to Dallas, she was going to Dallas to fund raise and speak at some schools - all private and very elite schools. She and I spent a lot time together over the next two weeks, she gave me a copy of her newest book at the time (autographed) we really had a great time. Then I made the mistake of asking her to speak at the school where I taught - after all the president's grand children attended this school and most of the students were from multi-millionaire families. (Those are GWs girls) She flatly refused, she couldn't waste her time on a public school, it really sadden me, someone I had followed for years, then by chance got to know a little personally. As in all things money first, though I grant you she needs money for her work, the children in this school had parents worth more then all the private schools combined...just was not gong to happen. She would have garnered more donations in a half an hour then her full two weeks in Dallas.
