This group has been created because I am weary to death of the massive deception being perpetrated on the people of the world by those few repehensible cretins occupying positions of authority, spreading untruths, controlling lives through misinformation and conscious-numbing propaganda. Be it Law Makers, Law Enforcers, Media, Corporate Thugs, or those who have been rendered incapable of distinguishing truth from fiction and thereby add to the chain, the wool is everywhere and the Blind are many.
I want to start a movement of enlightened individuals, people who recognise the intangible thumb they are under and wish to defy it, people whose cognitive abilities are still fighting back, people who understand that the data streams are full of insubstatial platitudes designed to fool them into believing that everything is as it should be - and hopefully bring some semblance of freedom back into our lives - freedom of the mind, freedom of will.
Knowledge is Power - Use It!
The posting and discussion guidelines are simple.
Encouraged:
-Events, news stories, laws and anything else that is either cultivating or cultivated by lies. Example: Breed Specific Legislation.
-Petitions about anything from Animal Welfare to Social Reform; if it involves untruth or injustice, bring it up.
-Causes designed to change or halt any unthethical, 'immoral' or otherwise vile instances of actions being perpetrated by people or organizations. Example: the continuing practice of 'necessary' animal testing.
-Thoughts, ideas, or suggestions meant to encourage the journey on the Path of Truth.
Discouraged:
-Unfortunately, as much of what people view as truth falls under its jurisdiction, promotion of Religious beliefs is going to be frowned upon here. I do want to specify that this does not mean that impersonal, clinical discussion of Religious ideas is not allowed. However, declaring that someone is wrong or going to be punished by a divine power because they do not hold the same beliefs is most certainly strictly prohibited. And please avoid such comments as 'God meant the world to be', or the like, which is pushy and makes the assumption that everyone agrees with the viewpoint being expressed. I certainly don't want to be offensive, but if I see any of this going on, in keeping with the Spirit of this group - which is in part the dispelling of ignorance - I WILL say exactly what I think of that, and it probably won't be liked. So just keep your deities out of it. If you don't agree with this, you obviously don't belong here, which is very unfortunate.
Prohibited:
-Offensive or derogatory behavior towards anyone due to their beliefs or their perceived 'ignorance' - everyone has a different perspective of Truth, just as everyone has a different idea of what is offensive, so this can be a grey area. The point is, don't be a Jerk. Calm debate is welcome, hostility is not.
-Content that is inappropriate or not applicable to furthering the goal of this group - which is Social Enlightenment. Obviously that means tripe like spam, adult-oriented material, etc - but it also includes frivolities such as petitions for rock bands to get back together and come play a show in your hometown. All such postings will be removed.
