Current Priority Issues

Reconciliation: Promoting just relations between indigenous & non-indigenous peoples.
Economic Development that is socially and environmentally sound, placing a priority on family agriculture.
Promoting Peace.
Overcoming Poverty and Hunger.
Just relations with Hemispheric neighbors based on mutual respect and interdependence, not on hegemony and exploitation.
Abolition of the Death Penalty.

Events Schedule

SUNDAY, August 1, 3-4pn. Weekly hour of peace witness from on the steps of the federal courthouse, 400 S. Phillips Avenue, Sioux Falls
MONDAY, August 2, 7pm. Rapid City Peace & Justice Chapter meeting will feature a discussion with Laurette Pourier and others concerned with recent developments in the effort to get COMMUNITY REVIEW of decisions by LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. Election of chapter officers. St. Isaace Jogues Catholic Church (next to Mother Butler Center).
MONDAY, August 9, 7pm. YANKTON P&J Chapter�activity meeting when the chapter is co- sponsoring a performance of A Single Woman.
TUESDAY, August 3 &pm. Food Tax Task Force meetingAugustana Collge, Madsen Center, Room 101, Sioux Falls. This group will meet for 13 consecutive weeks.
