My own personal spin on life is to de-mystify things. I would suggest that we have a section on basic techiques, sort of like the book "Joy of Cooking", it could have links as well as reccommended books and personal tips. I find it easier to think in terms of already familiar processes, and how to combine them to make something different. Let me know what you think about this.

Don't forget my handy formula for the Quick-Mix, I find it quite useful. There are many variations possible and can be a real joy when needed for a fast batch of biscuits, pancakes or muffins.

Click on the "View All Topics" link to find more folders. This will always be a work in progress.

If you would like to find out more about your host's interests visit my website, I started it about 6 years ago and have updated things, but not redesigned it. It is mostly links, and does not have much about food or baking except my Starter.

Don't forget my pages for Music, Spirit, Consious Living, etc.

I work for Zingerman's Mail Order, a part of the Zingerman's Community of Businesses which include a deli, bakery, creamery, roadhouse, coffee roaster, and Zing Train.

This is a link to Grand Central Baking Company based in Washington and Oregon, there are nice pictures and information there.

Zingerman's Bakehouse has just launched thier own website. They hold classes as well, and are nearby the Creamery and Mail Order.

Hello Again!
The intense part of the holiday workload has passed, and I have time for baking and fixing the ceiling in the kitchen. I have neglected my sourdough, so I know it is going to need to be "resurected"! This weekend I think I will mix some of the sour with some yeast dough and make some "hybrid" loaves.

Have Fun!
