Message: Active Care2 Members Are Salvation.

It has been brought to my attention that Care2 members are not clicking to donate. Care2 says that they have 6 million members and only 10,000 of them do their clicks.

My network size is 82795, wow if every one in my network  who claims to be an activist to change the decorum  of various shortfalls in orderliness were to sign either of my two petitions with goals of 20,000 on one petition and 10,000 on the other Petition we could stop a lot of judicial crime to families in San Diego Family Courts.
Further if you were to copy my petition links into your messages and pass them around we could stop families from having their children extorted for job security by their ad litem's.
You could secure the future of your own religion by stopping the persecution in Family courts and you could stop families having their children alienated from them by the San Diego Family Court appointed ad litem's.
You could stop perjury in the San Diego Family courts and subornation of perjury committed by  the court appointed ad litem's.
You could change a child's life forever or you could leave the child to sit in his or her trauma and suffer a life time.
Your signature's are as appreciated as much by every child without a voice in San Diego Family Court as Care2 appreciates your time spent clicking to donate.

    Thank You,

    Jacklyn Barton

Message: Decade for the Eradication of Poverty

October 16 ~ End Hunger Day

There is more than enough food in the world so that no one need ever go hungry. Those who wish for a more peaceful, just and sustainable world are helping to make ending world hunger a major priority. In fact, all of the world's leaders agreed to cut the number of starving people in half by the year 2015 as the first priority of the Millennium Development Goals.

World Food Day / End Hunger Day is an opportunity for the global community to unite in an effort to help raise awareness about the global problem of hunger. World Food Day was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 to commemorate the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945 (resolution 35/70). The official goal of the day is to "heighten public awareness of the world food problem and strengthen solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty."

October 17 ~ International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Decade for the Eradication of Poverty

In December 1995, the General Assembly proclaimed the First United Nations Decade for the Eradication of Poverty (1997-2006). In December 1996, the General Assembly declared the theme for the Decade as a whole to be "Eradicating poverty is an ethical, social, political and economic imperative of humankind."

    Stand Up

Launched by the United Nations Millennium Campaign, STAND UP is an exciting challenge to set an official Guinness World Record for the greatest number of people ever to Stand Up Against Poverty and for the Millennium Development Goals. On October 15&16, the world will come together and STAND UP and remind their governments that promises to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and help the billions living in extreme poverty, must be kept. The purpose of the action is to raise awareness of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to publicly demonstrate to policy makers the growing global support for the eradication of poverty. STAND UP is an initiative designed to coincide with Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) month of global mobilizations (www.whiteband.org ) around the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. We need everyone to take part to ensure governments listen and take action. Find out how you can Join an existing event in your area or Organize your own STAND UP events. Stand Up because: - Every day 24,000 people die from hunger - Every day more than 100 million children are denied the chance to go to school - Every day 1.1 billion people have to drink polluted water - Every day 8,200 people die due to HIV/AIDS

Alert: World Day against the Death Penalty
    Focus:Death Penalty
    Action Request:Various
    Location:United States

October 10 was the fourth World Day against the Death Penalty organized by Amnesty International.

You can click here to go to their page and get more extensive information.

The death penalty is the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.

It violates the right to life.

It is irrevocable and can be inflicted on the innocent. It has never been shown to deter crime more effectively than other punishments.

As an organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights, Amnesty International (AI) works for an end to executions and the abolition of the death penalty everywhere.

The progress has been dramatic. When AI convened an International Conference on the Death Penalty in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1977, just 16 countries had abolished capital punishment for all crimes. Today the figure stands at 88.

Each year since 1997 the United Nations Commission on Human Rights has passed a resolution calling on countries that have not abolished the death penalty to establish a moratorium on executions. The latest resolution, adopted in April 2005, was co-sponsored by 81 UN member states, the highest number ever.

AI issues updated information and news of developments, and maintains a library of reports on the death penalty worldwide.

AI is a member of the World Coalition against the Death Penalty, a coalition that unites national and international human rights organizations, bar associations, trade unions and local and regional authorities in an effort to rid the world of the death penalty.

Take action against the death penalty
