A Holiday Gift
The holiday season is upon us, and this is your chance to take it easy this year. After you've made your list and checked it twice, you can cross off everyone with a visit to the Oceana Adoption Center. Symbolically adopt one of eight marine creatures, and you'll receive your choice of a cookie cutter in the shape of your creature or a plushie stuffed animal. You'll also receive a personalized adoption certificate. Other extras include a holiday-themed oven mitt and optional gift packaging!
Hey WaveMakers!
Welcome to Oceana's space on Care2 Connect. I'm your host, Maureen McGregor, director of e-activism for Oceana. There's a lot to discuss when it comes to ocean conservation. Whether it's the negative -- overfishing, climate change, mercury contamination, or shark finning, to name a few -- or the positive -- your experiences scuba diving and exploring the beauty of coastal areas, I hope you join the conversation!
And when you leave here, don't forget to check outOceana's blog -- it's where we post the latest news and musings about the oceans, and feel free to leave us a comment there, too.
