Welcome to Care2 Trans-People! This group is for any transgendered individual and ally on Care2 that wishes to join. For the purposes of this group, a trans-person is anybody who doesn't feel they quite fit the gender they were assigned at birth. I like to keep that definition broad as to not exclude people for not being "trans-enough" to be transgender. If you fit that broad definition, or consider yourself an ally, you are welcome here. In other words:

I do not care if you are FtM or MtF, or neither.
I do not care if you are going to have surgery, HRT, or even socially transition.
I do not care if you live in-role full time or part time.
I do not care if you are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or none-of-the-above.
I do not care if you "pass."
I do not care if you don't fit generally the accepted gender roles for either your assigned or your target gender.

The only thing that matters to me is that I create a safe place for transgendered people and allies to talk about the issues that apply to them. I think that's reasonable.

If problems arise, I might put up a "rules" section here, but for now I'll just say that standard forum etiquette applies.
